Because of you, it’s been another amazing week! We just wrapped up our #CruzCountry #CruzToVictory Bus Tour through seven southern states that will play a huge role in making Ted our Republican nominee for President in 2016:
Coming off of the recent Republican Presidential debate, the wind was at our backs. A recent NBC poll ran after the debate and released Sunday morning showed that Ted had jumped up to second place nationally:
But even I’ll admit, we were a little surprised at the receptions we received throughout the tour. From the debate stage in Ohio to South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, at stop after stop, we had to move our events from inside to outside in fields and parking lots to accommodate the crowds of courageous conservatives that turned out to support Ted. Your showing of support was absolutely breathtaking — thank you:
The tour started in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, on Friday, August 7th and concluded on Thursday evening in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the atmosphere was absolutely electric. And the results were clear — the southern states that account for 356 of the 1,236 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for President — the so-called “SEC” Primary states, are #CruzCountry. We look forward to continuing to build on our strong presence there to ensure we compete and win in the South!
One of the stops turned unusually personally along the way — I wanted to share the story with you. In Murfreesboro, Tennessee earlier this week, we had an unexpected and special guest — Pastor Gaylon Wiley. Many years ago, Pastor Wiley help lead Ted’s father, Rafael, to Jesus and baptized Ted when he was just eight years old. They hadn’t seen each other in years, and it was truly touching to witness the two of them reuniting. You can read about it here.
As a reminder, we are less than one week away from our Rally for Religious Liberty in Des Moines, Iowa that will have special appearances from the Newsboys as well as the Bontrager Family Singers. You won’t want to miss it — click here to RSVP to join us! If you or your church would like to host a viewing party, you may sign up for the live stream here.
I am not going to address the obvious condescension in your reply. Waste of time.
Concerning my original question about who supports The Wall. I have to use it as a litmus test for who I trust. Every one of the candidates should be asked and will have answered questions regarding Trump’s plan by the end of the week. I will formulate my opinion from that. I would LOVE to have a fallback position if Trump falters. But if there’s just a bunch of careful, calculated politicians left who cannot support building the Wall, then I’ll stay home. I’m a native Texan. I saw first hand what happened with illegal immigration. My family is still suffering from it. Fortunately, none of them have been raped, robbed or killed yet. So this is no small issue to me.
As far as the oyster soup. If anyone had just addressed my question instead of spending all this time trying to berate me, there would be no soup. I’m not the soup chef you are looking for.
lol. Careful, you better make that Cruz/Trump in this thread.
You seem upset, skip the soup.
Wash your hands and make me a sandwich, chop chop.
Cruz has been pushing for a border wall long before your beloved Trump was finishing his last round of policy waffles.
This from www.ontheissues.org
End Obama's illegal amnesty via Congress' checks & balances. (Nov 2014)
Defund amnesty; and refuse any nominees until rescinded. (Nov 2014)
No path to citizenship for 1.65 million illegals in Texas. (Oct 2012)
Give police more power to ask about immigration status. (Jun 2012)
Boots on the ground, plus a wall. (Apr 2012)
Triple the size of the Border Patrol. (Mar 2012)
Strengthen border security and increase enforcement. (Jul 2011)
Anyway, I did a google search for 2012 on the topic and located an article on Fox Latino from that year about Cruz, which said:
Cruz also distinguished himself from Dewhurst with his full-throated support for a border wall estimated by the Department of Homeland Security to cost $7.3 billion, or $6.5 million per mile.
This encourages me. But his supporters do not. But I give you kudos for at least trying to give information.
I took an action and will leave the threads to others.
Go, Cruz, GO!!
lol
You’re funny. (Not ha, ha funny.)
Trump and Cruz. A one/two knockout punch. Thunder and lighting. Hit ‘em high, hit ‘em low. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Party crashers! We have to get them in, to flush out the rats. All aboard, last call..........! Our country is having an identity crisis. One more for the Gipper! Up the PC GOPe!
How about Mexico building a wall on their side of the river? Hey, you wanna continue doing business with us, you keep the cartels and border jumpers out! Comprende?
lol. That works for me, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. I would consider it a miracle for the USA to get it done, even with Trump. The resistance to something like this would be like nothing we’d ever seen, very messy. All I know is that a nation without a border is not a nation. I love my country and don’t want to see it destroyed.
They can build their wall with bricks, stone, steel, lead, or electrons, but they need to hear the message loud and clear. Keep your drug smugglers, gun runners, human traffickers, border jumpers, criminals, rapists, degenerates, illegal crossers, etc, on your side of the border or you’re gonna pay plenty.
Agreed. Moreover, I want to see our candidates speak this way. All of them. I want to hear our Congress people and governors speak the way you do. So far, I only see Trump being extremely vocal about it. This is important for the survival of the country. This is not about politics as usual. The politicians need to understand that they are standing on a powder keg if they don’t address this issue.
What what? It's a river?
Well, yes. Parts of it are. lol
The majority of it is. In a continuous line.
To deny or discount this is to express a too simplified view.
Quite frankly.. even if we agree in theory.. you ain't giving away our river to the Mexicans.
The Republicans and Democrats have given away the whole country. Wake up.
Point out where the wall should go, if you will.
WALL WALL WALL! ONE SIZE FITS ALL! WALL!
Bite me.
