Well, this is the best reply I've seen so far. (Sans the Trump slam, of course.) I have been to OnTheIssues before and only saw reference to Cruz wanting to put up a fence in places, which doesn't do anything at all.

Anyway, I did a google search for 2012 on the topic and located an article on Fox Latino from that year about Cruz, which said:

Cruz also distinguished himself from Dewhurst with his full-throated support for a border wall estimated by the Department of Homeland Security to cost $7.3 billion, or $6.5 million per mile.

This encourages me. But his supporters do not. But I give you kudos for at least trying to give information.
