A custom cake baker in suburban Denver cant cite his religious convictions in declining to make a wedding cake for two men, a Colorado appeals court ruled today.
Cake artist Jack Phillips said he gladly serves gays and lesbians in his family business. But, Phillips said, he could not in good conscience design a wedding cake for a same-sex couple when, as a Christian, he believes that marriage is the union of a man and a woman.
A three-judge panel of the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled that not doing so amounts to illegal discrimination based on sexual orientation, the Associated Press reported.

I think this is jow they get around it. They need to come up with a standard design for gay cakes and all the rest, no modifications, and if they dont like the design they offer, then dont buy it.
Arguments like yours ignore the main point of this issue; That you have been FORCED to bow to the Gaystapo. That you have been made to *OBEY*!
The gay lobby would find a way to force you to follow their agenda, regardless of what business you open.
That’s what I’m saying. Be a smarter martyr.
In a sane society, these judges would not dare make such a ruling. They ought to be in fear for their lives at having made such a ruling in this society.
They have entered an area where nothing should protect them from the consequences of their acts.
Didn't you know that? or are you some sort of hater bigot?
I would make an ‘exlax cake’ that should solve the problem....
I certainly understand this. However, it is going to cost them a lot of time and money in legal fees, and with the current mindset in the courts today - they might be beating a dead horse. It is up to God to lead them which direction they should take. Sometimes when one door closes, another one opens.
Possi ly but we can at least say we attempted to bake them a cake that did not violate our faith beliefs. The fact they didnt like it is not our problem, we didnt force them to buy it or demand they must use us as their baker.
I wonder if the court would be so heavy handed with customers if as soon as they walked in the door the business owner demanded that they must buy whatever the business owner wanted to sell to them, regardless of whether they wanted to enter into the contract.
Vee haf vays ov making you bake.
The cake should be packed with fudge.
Post of the day!
Put a big sign on the door and over the register that reads:
We’re happy to make a cake for your gay wedding. All proceeds will be donated to the Ted Cruz for President fund.
Thank you.
They need to have boilerplate other businesses use that say they can deny service to anyone for any reasons. Other businesses stipulate this, and also stipulate terms for cancellation of said service for a laundry list of reasons. Erminatonmof service rules. You cant get their products or services without agreeing to the contract. Software for one has insane terms of service and how they can terminate service for breach of a long list of contract rules.
I am going down to the local diner with no shoes or shirt. If they refuse to let me in, I am gonna SUE! LOL!
Id rather it be packed with this judge.
That isn't being "smarter", that is just delaying and encouraging the inevitable.
The only way to stop tyranny is instant and obdurate defiance of it. You must fight back when it is small, because when it is large, it will overwhelm.
You let them force you to bake a cake or take a picture, or even say "hello" to you, and they will move the goal posts again later when it suits them.
You’d get in a lot of trouble putting Exlax in a cake. Now, covering it with rainbow-colored sugar-free gummy bearswell, that would just make the cake more festive!

They could care less about a cake. This is a part of a global conspiracy to exterminate Christianity. The devils in hell love SCOTUS, POTUS, liberalism, and the way it looks, the good old US of A. After all, what other country murders the most innocent of citizens, viz. the abortion holocaust.
The downside is, the gay couple and their friends might actually like it.
Anyway, the 'net is full of very creative ideas for gay wedding cakes! (I would post pictures, but I'd probably be banned for life.)
Doubt they would notice the difference....
