GOP ELITES PLOT TO PURGE TRUMP
WND ^

Posted on 08/13/2015 4:36:10 PM PDT by xzins

In the Cleveland debate, Donald Trump refused to commit to support whomever the Republican Party nominates in 2016.

Trump would be wise to maintain his freedom of action.

For there is a plot afoot in the Washington Post Conservative Club to purge Trump from the Republican Party before the primaries begin.

“A political party has a right to … secure its borders,” asserts the Post’s George Will, “a duty to exclude interlopers.” Will wants The Donald “excommunicated” and locked out of all GOP debates until he kneels and takes a loyalty oath to the nominee.

“Marginalizing Trump” carries no risk of “alienating a substantial Republican cohort,” Will assures us, for these “Trumpites” are neither Republicans nor conservatives. Better off without such trash.

The Post’s Michael Gerson says “establishment Republicans” must “make clear that [Trump] has moved beyond the boundaries of serious and civil discourse.” He loathes the Trumpites as much as Will.

Trump’s followers are “xenophobic,” Gerson tells CNN. They have a “resentment of outsiders, of Mexico, of China, and immigrants. That’s more like a European right-wing party, a UKIP or a National Front in France. Republicans can’t incorporate that.”

But if the GOP has no room for Trump’s followers, it has no future. For there simply aren’t that many chamber-of-commerce and country-club Republicans.

Trump should tell the GOP, in the neocons’ favorite phrase, “All options are on the table.” And that includes the Samson Option.

Trump should tell the GOP that if it disrespects him and his followers, then he is prepared to do as did the biblical hero Samson, when, blinded and mocked by the Philistines, he pushed the pillars apart and brought the temple down upon the heads of them all.

George Will looks like he is still harboring a grudge from having been given too many chocolate swirls in elementary school.

But people are so mentally conditioned to not look outside their compartmentalized view of GOP or nothing/Dem or nothing they are willfully blind to the reality that an ever growing chunk of America hates them both and would drop trou and run naked and screaming for a chance to put the blocks to them in a voting booth.

That one dimensional thinking is in full view on this very thread.

I’m not sure “kill” needs to be in parentheses.

“The Nazis had balls. The GOPe nit so much.”

You’re right. Shouldn’t insult those that actually have balls.

It’s not the conservatives. Republicans have low-info voters too - voters who only watch Fox and don’t read otherwise etc...This plan is targeted at that group

For the Plutocrats in control of the GOP, it’s all about fleecing the WORKING citizenry.

They don’t give a good goddamn how much is skimmed to the marxists and their NON WORKING electorate as long as the cash keeps coming.

The communists running the DNC and the RNC country clubbers and their greedy pulled back wives are terrified of this guy.

I have seen the RNC in the wild, CON MAN CENTRAL.

USED CAR SALESMEN ON STEROIDS!

Trump will crucify the likes of Jeb Bush, comes right out and says he doesn’t respect him.

For that reason alone is a Godsend.

““I’ve been dealing with politicians all my life. They are all talk, no action,” Trump said. “Never going to get done. They’re controlled by the lobbyists, they’re controlled by donors, and they’re controlled by special interests.

When I tell somebody to do something, I’m not going to get a lobbyist calling me the next day to say, ‘Please don’t do that even though it’s good for America.’”

Specifically, he got asked about Jeb Bush. Not a big fan. “The last thing we need is another Bush,” Trump said.

He doesn’t seem to think much of Jeb’s brother, George W., either. During the interview, Trump said, “I would be willing to bet I would have a great relationship with [Russian President] Vladimir Putin. It’s about leadership.”

O’Reilly responded with, “You sound like George W. Bush when he looked into [Putin’s] soul and said he was a good guy.”

Trump snarked, “Bush didn’t have the IQ.”

I think your right .

Trump is a household name and most people are feel like they know him and consider him very Pro America versus Jebbie lecturing us as Racists for trying to stop the foreign colonization being conducted by the elites.

Name recognition across multiple US generations is something only he has .

The DC Uniparty elites are terrified of that kind of name recognition .

And thats why Steve and I joke about the Obvious/Statues thing. It IS obvious. This mentality has gotten us into this hell and you cannot possibly avoid that conclusion with any reasoned observance of how we got here from there.

But some bitterly cling because thats what their great grandfather did or their media hero supported.

These people may as well be democrats because their willful ignorance and refusal to observing the screaming nuclear powered neon signs is every bit as destructive.

It is worth remembering that so-called “conservative” George Will felt the same way about Ronald Wilson Reagan as he does Trump. Will railed against Reagan repeatedly in 1979-80.

Jeb and the rest of the GOPe family are at the ready with Jeb’s response to his grandfather’s choices.

Prescott Bush was also indicted for funneling funds to the Nazis at the beginning of WWII.

I’m not sure why but there is some Kennedy Vs. Bush feud that started back around the time of WWII — Joe Kennedy was top man to FDR before the war.

I haven’t looked, but I’m sure there is some book somewhere entitled Kennedy V. Bush dynasties.

This is why Bob Dole screamed at H.W. Bush after Dole got cut out of some 1980 Presidential Debate: “I’ll get you, you f***ing Nazi!”

Golly gee. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that written here at FR.
