Probably means the end of large-scale LNG transport, as well. Sounds as if this is what went up in the second explosion:
First Phase of Floating Natural Gas Plant in Tianjin Completed Not likely, LNG won't even ignite to burn, let alone explode.
First it has to be warmed up to a vapor, then it needs to be diluted with air down to a 5~15% concentration.

About the worst I saw was a bunch of buffalo getting insta-whacked at Fort Sill in 1996 because Range Control failed to give the head’s up to checkfire in time to prevent ground beefalo burgers from happening.
Eight howitzers lambasting the impact zone and vaping a bunch of buffalo was interesting to see.

The first explosion was near the Tianjin Floating Natural Gas Terminal Link please? And your picture is not of a floating terminal.

That looks almost nuclear.
Hence my posts just before this one.
I think it is possible that it was.

No, not a nuke...
A Huge hazmat handling facility near a Huge Coal gasification Plant, a Hydrogen Production Facility, an LNG Terminal, and Flammable GasesPort.
What could go wrong?
In China....

I’m beginning to wonder if it was a nuclear bomb placed by some enemy of China. Maybe even the US. The Davey Crocket is a 20 ton of tnt bomb. Look at those cars.
This is 9/11 for China.

If this were a nuke, believe me, even China couldn’t keep it secret. After 7 hours this close, it would be catastrophic.
However, this is one serious disaster for China at a time when they’re already in trouble.
God bless those who suffer and mourn.

Witnesses comments:
......It was like the earthquake back in 1976 with glass breaking, resident Han Xiang said.... But then there was a huge mushroom cloud so we thought we were also in a war.
.....At the time of the explosion the ground was shaking fiercely, nearby cars and buildings were shaking, a few buildings glass all broke and everyone started to run, Ms Yang
