True or not? On the one hand, this comes from Gabriel Sherman, one of Foxs most relentless critics in the media, a guy who published an unflattering bio of Ailes last year and who offhandedly refers to Foxs audience as misogynist in the course of this very post. On the other hand, it makes all the sense in the world that Ailes would offer Trump a bonanza interview with Kelly after the debate given the mega-ratings that would produce. If you were him, wouldnt you do the same?
_________ Ailes offered Trump the chance to do a special on Kellys prime-time show to clear the air an offer Trump flatly refused. Donald was sufficiently pissed off that there was no way that was happening, a person familiar with the call told me. According to the source, Trumps ire was especially stoked after Howard Stern called to tell him about a 2010 interview in which Kelly joked about her breasts and her husbands penis. Ailes offered other shows, and Trump agreed to appear on Fox and Friends and Hannity, two venues that have been loyal boosters of his candidacy.
Ailess next order of business was getting Trump to disarm publicly. According to a source briefed on the negotiations, Ailes called Trump multiple times yesterday morning begging him to tweet out that they had made peace. Trump refused at first, but finally consented
But resecuring Trump access could prove to be a temporary victory for Ailes. Having backed down to the GOP front-runner and all but sacrificed one of his biggest stars to appease the conservative base a.k.a. Fox viewers Ailes has set a dangerous precedent. The message is clear: Fox reports, but the audience decides.

Right... jumping the shark is defined as a fast, permanent and irreversible decline.
Just sacrifice her and we're all set.
IF she did get death threats it came from some demented democrat, a muslim or some sick Rino, conservatives do not do such things.
No doubt if not one of the above an investigation would reveal some sort of leftest group is involved, if in fact this story is true.
Trump would be insane to lower himself to get on Megyn Crowley’s show for any reason.
I agree..a big fat NO. I’m have stopped watching FOX, not because I’m mad at Fox and Kelly and Friends. But they lost totally credibility for me. Credibility is not something that is easy ‘get over’ or look past. They had a chance to have 1 of the best debates ever and instead...it probably ended up being 1 of the most disasterous ever.
Good idea.
Harris Faulkner is very good.
She did not say she got death threats - a New York magazine said they got it from an unnamed source. That magazine is where that came from.
It’s Fox numbers diving that concerned Ailes.
That thou emotionally satisfying would be foolish. Foxnews is now effectively Trumpnews.
I’ll bet you dollars to donuts Megyn is talking to CNN/NBC/ABC. I’m sure she is under contract but when it is up or if she’s got a bailout clause .... look out.
Only if she gives up her personal calendar and let’s Trump pick the date...I can’t handle anither interview fueled by PMS.
I am only one, but I have not and will not watch her again, unless she has Cruz on and that is only to see Cruz. And, I hope she gives Cruz the Donald treatment too, because the Cruz slap back would be of a very tasty classy quality that would probably go right over her ditz brain. Trump skewers, Cruz has a more “Well bless your heart” style.
That makes sense. I keep thinking that since Rupert’s son is now the FOX boss and his wife was a Clinton Foundation employee that some enterprising exec on CNN would make a move to grab all the disenchanted FOX viewers who are disgusted with FOX’s new left learnings. I’m guessing they thought they would keep the right PLUS get the rats?
It would serve them right for taking us for granted.
‘Ill bet you dollars to donuts Megyn is talking to CNN/NBC/ABC....’
On same wave length...if true that Ailes ‘made peace’ with Trump w/o Megyn’s participation, I can see her going to CNN in the future.
