The Real Truth on What Donald Trump Said About Planned Parenthood
CNN | Vanity

Posted on 08/11/2015 8:50:29 AM PDT by ElainaVer

For all those who are listening to Sound Bites on what Donald Trump said on CNN this morning . . here is the truth of his position: "“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly,” Trump said. “And you can’t have it. And you just shouldn’t be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that.”

When pressed on non-abortion services Planned Parenthood allegedly provides, Trump said, “What I would do when the time came, I’d look at the individual things they do, and maybe some of the individual things they do are good. I know a lot of the things are bad. But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely.”

Trump continued, “I would look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would also look, because I’m sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also. But we have to take care of women.”

I see logic is not one of your strong points. And I see humility is not one of yours. Fungibility is what has kept PP operating before the discovery of the selling of baby parts. I'm quite sure that door would be closed if we had a President who is committed to Absolutely not funding abortions and one who is savvy enough to know how to slam the door on moving donated monies around to hide the truth. Do you really think no one has tried to scam Donald before PP?

Probably not and they should be criticized for weakness on this issue also.

Christie, of all people, vetoed PP funding 5 times. If this is truly the one issue people are most passionate about, get out there and support Christie.

Ted Cruz on the subject:

"There is no place for taxpayer funding of organizations that profit from taking away innocent life, much less profiting off the bodies of the lives they have stolen. Congress should immediately begin an investigation of Planned Parenthood's activities regarding the sale and transfer of aborted body parts, including who is obtaining them and what they are being used for. And it should renew efforts to fully defund Planned Parenthood to ensure that its morally bankrupt business receives not one penny of taxpayer money.

There are good things about Trump but I don’t think petty name-calling as a rebuttal to every argument is one of them.

Certainly not the approach I’d like to see conservatives mimic.

Yup, tearing down the alters to the god of convenience. Thing is, hospitals also sacrifice children and so do other clinics. I say close them all. Do an implosion and burn the remains. Then bulldoze and make a memorial of all for future generations before the wrath of God takes out all the murdering nations. His justice can be delayed, but it will come. Only a handful of nations are left where it is illegal.

There are MANY FReepers using biblical language to refer to Trump. He is seen by MANY FReepers as flawless, as above reproach. Anyone who DARES challenge anything he says are does are immediately rebuked as pawns of the GOPe.

Yes, many FReepers see Trump as The Chosen One. No exaggeration.

It is interesting that you don’t realize how clueless you reveal yourself to be when you say such things.

I was referring to the Poster's assertion that every PP Location should be Bulldozed to the Ground.

Please check the previous Post. I know Cruz's views already.

The Bible tells us to reject the devil, but is it fine that we accept his good aspects?

What I don't think Trump knows---nor do most people---is that PP gets its profits and thus most of its existence from the abortion side.

Actually, I think Trump does know where PP gets its profits....that is why he could make he statement that he did.

You can go after me personally and that’s fine. I’m not gonna issue a press release about it.

Oh please spare me!

People support Trump because he’s being attacked by everybody and is the only candidate (other than Cruz) standing up to the Media and GOPe. Sadly, he has people like you helping the MSM and GOPe in trying to destroy him.

You folks have more disdain for Trump than Obama. How does it feel to be on the same side as McConnell, Boehner, and the media?

I don’t think petty name-calling as a rebuttal to every argument is one of them.

The time to play nicey nice is over. The GOPe has voted "lesser evil" for far too long, and the only result has been to push the party further and further to the left. The fact that the GOPe RINO jackboots have it out fro Trump tells me he's the one we need to unite behind. While I've been a staunch Cruz supporter, the fact is I would be ok with him bowing out at this point, getting behind Trump and Trump announcing Cruz as his VP pick. Trump/Cruz 2016, Cruz/Carson(/Walker/Palin/etc.) 2024. If the GOPe manages to get Walker or any of the other milquetoast RINO loving candidates out front for 2016, you can resign yourself to accepting Hitlery. No more Mr. Nice Conservative - the time for that is over. Get with the program. This could very well be the last attempt we have to change things at the ballot box. Do it right, or we face the ammo box. And I really don't want to see that happen.
