TRUMP: SIMPLIFY TAX CODE WITH ‘INTELLIGENCE,’ ‘REDUCE TAXES,’ WON’T GIVE WHOLE PLAN YET
Breitbart ^ | August 11, 2015 | by IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 08/11/2015 6:05:11 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that on taxes he supports, simplifying the tax code and wants to “reduce taxes” on Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.” Although, he later added on CNN’s “New Day” that “I know exactly what I want to do, I just don’t want to announce it yet.”

Asked about his tax plan, Trump said, “You have so many plans Steve, and you have the Fair Tax, and you have the flat tax, and you have the current system, but it’s too complicated. Frankly, what we should do is…start it off by simplifying our current system, put H&R Block out of business, knock them out, put them out of business. A simple return, people have to go out and pay a lot of money to get help, to fill out their tax returns. And I’m talking about a simple return. We have to simplify our code, we have to bring down taxes, but we have to simplify our code, Steve, it’s too complicated. You can’t do it. You have to go — in my case, I have lawyers all over the place. I have accounting firms all over the place, everybody. You have to simplify this tax code. And from that point on, you can maybe do something else. But before we do anything, simplify it. Make it nice and easy for people to understand, and reduce taxes.”

In an interview on CNN’s “New Day” shortly after, Trump was asked, “You know you’re have to do better than that, as you go forward here, in terms of putting out ideas that people can cling to. What do you think should be the top tax rate, for someone, let’s say, like you who’s a billionaire?”

How do you replace a 500,000 word tax code with a soundbite?

Of course he doesn’t have a full plan. He will need to craft a plan that will get through congress. That is going to take a lot of negotiation. At least he has vision.

Have none of these people read his book?

Five point plan, all laid out.

It’s not rocket surgery...

ISIS plan: “they’ll be in so much trouble if I’m elected”.
Immigration plan: “build a wall. charge the mexicans”.
Iraq plan : “hit them, and then take their oil”.
Tax plan: “put H&R block out of business”.

with specifics like this, I can certainly see why he is such an attractive candidate.

The problem with Megyn Kelly is NOT that she was tuff and went after Trump!

It’s the WAY she went after him, and over what!

There are a MILLION things I would of LOVED Megyn Kelly to go after Trump on, some comment he made years ago about that disgusting fat slob Rosie O’Donnel

I wonder why he doesn't lay out the plan from his book?

Is he teases the interviewer?

The best way to simplify the income tax is to abolish it and the IRS.

At least he has vision.

Reduce taxes. Make it simpler. Tell me one of the GOP candidate who don't have that very same vision?

Probably so we can make asses out of his detractors as it disseminates through the people who aren't carrying water for the GOPe. ;)

And, at least Trump recognizes that there’s a problem.

Meanwhile, Hilary can’t stop whining about how the whole system is gamed against minorities, and gets another free pass from Big Media.

Say what you will, Trump is raising issues that people care about. That’s a good sales strategy.

I want her to apologize just like they keep hounding everyone else to do.

Also, the 3 of them didn’t hatch this plan to go after Trump and not call on Cruz by themselves, its too good for Jeb, I want to know who told them to sideline Cruz and attack Donald.

Apologies and motive , name names.

Tell me one paper pushing Republican, running for office of President, who has actually achieved anything of worth or value?
Actually, Of all the Rebublicans, who have ever been in office, in the history of Income Tax has any of them sucessfully simplified taxes?

I am starting to think maybe Republicans do not really want to simplify taxes?

Show me where anyone, now running, was able to stop Obama?
I heard A LOT of tough talk i see a lot of failures.
NOw, they want to be President???? Seriously???
Are we all insane? Let’s hire the same people who haven’t proven they can get anything of merit done?

As for Trump, like him or not, question how he got things done, i see TANGIBLE evidence of his accomplishments.
The government now is run like a criminal operation. Trump would run it like a business.

It’s basically a return to the original income tax of 1913, which in all honesty was perfectly fine. One page, very, very low rate on everyone, and very slight graduation topping at 6.5%.
