Stop and think: That's over $1000 for every man, woman, and child in the US to fund a one-semester drinking binge for tens of thousands of non-serious students. Everyone should call this what it is — a sop to the University Administrators and Professors so they can CONTINUE to charge exorbitant tuitions for useless classes. If we really wanted to lower costs, we would pull the plug on all subsidies and let the Higher Education Bubble burst. Sure, a bunch of colleges would go under and professors would lose their jobs, but that’s a good thing. What would remain would actually be useful.
