Fox News is facing a backlash from conservatives after critics felt the network was biased and unfair in the manner it approached the forum for the Republican presidential candidates' debate Thursday, and namely, Donald Trump.
According to Media Equalizer, tens of thousands of observers swamped social media with criticism of Fox and the moderators, with some comments attracting more than 2,000 "likes."
"This was shameful. You and Fox News did not treat the candidates fairly. You tried to make Donald J. Trump look foolish. All you did was make Fox News look foolish."
"Donald J. Trump still has my vote," said one post which appeared on the network's Facebook page and received over 2,200 "likes" just two hours after it was posted.
Another post representative of the sentiment was addressed to Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly and Fox News. It said the two "should be ashamed of themselves for their unfair demeanor towards Donald Trump. They apparently had their own agenda. Trump still did his thing though! #Trump2016"
"Megyn, you're an embarrassment to journalism. I wanted to watch a presidential debate, not a hit job by you and Fox," another observer wrote.
Twitter was also flooded with criticism of Kelly and Fox.
"Tonight's debate loser: Fox News," said one post.
"#GOPDebate NOT A DEBATE! It's @FoxNews vs @realDonaldTrump! What a disgrace! @magynkelly & @BretBaier shameful! #tcot," said another.
"WTF @FoxNews ???????? THIS DEBATE IS A SETUP TO SLAM EVERYBODY EXCEPT JEB BUSH. YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED AT THIS JOURNALISTIC DISHONESTY," yet another poster commented.
For his part, Trump lashed out at Kelly on his Twitter page.

Please, Fox is laughing all the way to the bank. Fox loves having Trump in their debates because it gets them great ratings. Donald and Megan Kelly are probably having a laugh about it together over dinner.
He is brash enough to think he might be able to grab over a third of the votes, the point at which spoiler turns into serious contender.
I was more upset about how Kelly treated Ted Cruz, what kind of question is “Do you hear the voice of God?” I am surprised that hasn’t gotten much coverage..Also, Fox News allowing Debbie Wasserman Schultz after the debate to come on and “Voice her opinion on the debate” yeah did ANYONE actually believe that someone from the DNC would give a balanced review of the oppositions debate..they just let her talk, and trash the GOP, with NO rebuttal from anyone. I want to see CNN after the Democrat Debate, have someone from the GOP to come on and discuss his/her opinion of the debate with NO rebuttal from the other side

I don’t think you know what a strawman is.
Trump has recently been pro increased gun control (for assault weapons ban and 72 hour waiting period), pro abortion (including partial birth abortion) pro illegal alien and pro single payer, government run healthcare.
But, he is a conservative crusader, right?
Sure seemed to have the long knives ready for Trump, but they were not all that much more serious with the others.
I like how he said, “She’s zippo”.

Really ignoring where Trump’s fuel is coming from aren’t you. That 45% comes from connecting with the people, who by and large do NOT want these things. And if Trump expects to keep it, Trump will respect it... it will not change for him.
Get your mind out of the two dimensional box.
Felt something was going wrong with Fox for a long time. They seem to lean with some of the most vial liberals as guest. Fox is screwed up. Done with them. When someone finds a good alternate to that crap hole let me know.
What Fox News produced was an embarrassment.
Here is one example not related to Trump which was asked of Scott Walker.
“Would you really let a mother die rather than have an abortion?” Kelly asked. “And with 83 percent of the American public in favor of a life exception, are you too out of the mainstream on this issue to win the general election?”
Did I miss something or did I think this was supposed to be a Republican debate on a Republican friendly channel not some simulation of a debate on MSNBC?
The questions to Trump were just mostly trash especially one about his comments on Rosie O’Donnell. Did I miss something or aren’t the GOP tired of this “War on Women” stupid narrative that asserts because you say one mean thing about one women that some how it involves all women within some kind of collective? Regardless we shouldn’t be promoting this politically correct bull crap. Have we not had enough of it from the left without continuing to give life to this kind of political straitjacket?
That’s the good that’s come from all this, conservatives are waking up to the fact that Faux News is not their friend.
It was too much like pro wrestling except Trump did not get to read the script the way the “moderators” did. They were in on it - he was not.
