Just when you thought Donald Trumps presidential run couldnt get any more absurd, the real estate mogul embroils himself in a feud with Fox News Megyn Kelly, and consequently turned the most influential voice of the online right into a humorless college student looking for a safe space. Redstate chief Erick Erickson has banned Donald Trump from the Redstate gathering over his offensive comments, an irony so rich, you could frost a gay wedding cake with it.
In response to Trumps off-the-cuff comment about Kellys metaphorical bleeding orifices, Erickson took to the stage Saturday morning, and explained his decision to ban Trump:

And BTW...I have NEVER lied here.
I may be wrong at times (and will immediately fess up when I am)...BUT I NEVER LIE.
So keep it civil, ok?
Eddie, when you find a link to a clip of him saying the word vagina or equivalent, get back to me.
Until then, you’re simply making stuff up.
This little exercise of playing whack-a-mole with you is pointless.
Own up to your Leftist strategy, that it didn’t work, and knock it off.
You lied.
Deal with it.
He did not reference her in that manner and most people with average intelligence know it.
That leaves only one word to cover what you did.
Lie
You’ve lied.
BTW, Trump was very clear on one thing; he called you, and others who think like you, deviants.
That Trump put in writing.
Now is that time.
There's only one party in DC, and that's the Uniparty. There are probably something on the order of a mere dozen or so elected reps at the national level who even take their oath of office seriously. The rest are either bought, cowed, blackmailed, or have been browbeaten into submission by the DC cartel.
And the America people know this. It's why they're so angry. They sent Republicans to Washington in a wave election, but it did no good. The GOP now stands for Give Obama Power.
This is why an outsider like Trump is resonating with the people. He's beyond their reach, and does not answer to them or their demands. He's completely 'off the reservation', as far as the political game goes. He's more in tune with what the American people think about the issues facing us today. So much so, that he's far outranked every competitor in the field, so far - which also goes to show you how far off beam the rest of them are.
We're at an historic turning point. The next election is for all the marbles. If we fail to elect a true reformer again, it's all over, but for the crying. True Americans will become a permanent minority in short order, and our country will be lost.
Under these dire conditions, a third party bid for the White House has a better chance of success than at any time in living memory.
Heres the full statement as it was emailed to reporters. The statement is headlined Donald J. Trump statement, despite being written in the third person:
Mr. Trump made Megyn Kelly look really bad she was a mess with her anger and totally caught off guard. Mr. Trump said blood was coming out of her eyes and whatever meaning nose, but wanted to move on to more important topics. Only a deviant would think anything else. This related to the debate, which because of Mr. Trump had 24 million viewers the biggest in cable news history. According to TIME, Newsmax, Drudge Report, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Hill and many others, Mr. Trump won the debate.
By the way, the guy (Erick Erickson) who made the decision about RedState called Supreme Court Justice David Souter a goat [expletive] child molester and First Lady Michelle Obama a Marxist Harpy. He was forced to make a humbling apology.
Also, not only is Erick a total loser, he has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns so it is an honor to be uninvited from his event. Mr. Trump is an outsider and does not fit his agenda.
Many of the 900 people that wanted to hear Mr. Trump speak tonight have been calling and emailingthey are very angry at Erickson and the others that are trying to be so politically correct. To them Mr. Trump says, We will catch you at another time soon.

You are right about the mood of the country.
The DC Cartel is desperate for everyone to play their assigned roles and stay in their slots as they have since 1988, when the last threat to their power finished his two terms in office.
We have been played like violins, especially since the 1992 elections.
Now, with a GOP Senate and a GOP House, they are out of excuses to con us with.
The time to have formed a viable new political party would have been after the 2012 election debacle, but like a cruising ocean liner, American politics cannot turn on a dime.
2014 represented the last time Americans are going to play their assigned roles. They gave the GOP power, and the GOP has shown they will not keep their promises.
In fact, they are making it painfully obvious they have no intention of keeping their promises.
Now, the American people are getting angry, and the DC Cartel is afraid we will go off-script.
We have to be managed back into line.
Trump and Cruz are the only ones saying “no”.
The others are willing to sell their souls to get further up the ladder of the DC Cartel, some faster than others are we are now seeing.
If Trump and Cruz can not be tampaxed, err, tamped backed into place, the Cartel’s plan cannot materialize.
The Cartel is dismantling and looting us as a nation, and putting us in physical peril as well—the Iran deal as a case in point.
Obvious criminal actions by the IRS, Hillary Clinton and others is being ignored or covered up deliberately and none of the guardians of our liberties intend to rock the boat.
As the Declaration of Independence says, there comes a time for the people to appoint new guardians for our liberties.
2016 may be more like 1776 then we imagine.
Why do you think the media can successfully neuter Republicans for the most part, most recently Jeb over innocuous comments he made at the Southern Baptist Convention? PC is the god they fear most. Can’t have the world think they are not PC. PC is the venue for controlling truth and free debate and it can change according to the circumstance.
You address the political dynamic precisely right IMO.
For the reasons you stated, we’re looking at new solutions.
I don’t like it, but for heaven’s sake, we gave the party 28 years since Reagan to get back on track. We’re not giving them another second.
I think there’s plenty of folks on the Left who are upset at the thought of Obama leading them. I think there’s plenty of people on the right tired of Bush, McCain, and Romney types getting the nod.
28 years later, and people are resoundingly saying, “NO, I’m (we’re) not better off. We’re sick and tired of it, and we’re not going to take it anymore!”
Either Trump means what he says and cleans the nation up, or he doesn’t and the inevitable take place anyway.
The Democrats and the Republicans are dismantling our nation faster than we can keep track of.
What’s to lose with Trump, if it’s all gone anyway?
I hope Rush runs across your post in his Monday show prep at Free Republic. You boiled down the most pertinent aspects of our situation perfectly.
You’d think we’d at least get a mention once in a while, huh? Sheeesh....
Thank you Balding_Eagle.
I don’t think Eddie is a bad guy. He did something I sometimes do, and that’s back myself into a corner.
Most of us do it at some point.
Take care Eddie, and you too Balding_Eagle.
Exact quote from 38 seconds to 44 seconds.:
"You could see there was blood was coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her [pause] wherever".Quit pissing down my leg and telling me its raining. He said what he said and he ought to own up to it. It was crude and he was trying to be cute with his "wherever".
Own up to your Leftist strategy, that it didnt work, and knock it off.
There in no silly leftist strategy (quit being buttholes to long time freepers who have supported you for 15 years, ok?...sheesh!).
If Trump is the Republican candidate, I will happily crawl over broken glass to vote for him. (I even sucked it up and voted for McCain and Romney)
I just don't think he now has a chance of winning and I am really starting to suspect this whole thing is just a Clinton trick circa 1992. (he's given to Hillary before)
Hope I'm wrong, but its starting to smell.
Thanks, friend.
It always seems that Rush has reviewed FR for his show prep.
By the time Rush is on in the afternoon, the items have already been dissected and discussed every which way on FR, and the “news” feels old.
Although I had already read the transcript, I did what eddie willers challenged, listened to the video.
Obviously, Eddie didn’t.
BTW, I wasn’t the one who called Eddie a deviant.
That was Trump. I was simply a messenger bringing it to everyone’s attention that Eddie had self selected himself into that category.
Perfectly stated and reasoned. I think there's a large plurality of Americans that are right there with you in that thinking.
Trump is a throwback to the kind of Americans that won WWII and built post-war America into the world's lone superpower. Those Americans were politically incorrect ass kickers, who got the job done and didn't whine while they were doing it.
If a mountain needed knocking down, they did it with pride and marveled at their handiwork. If a foe needed reminding who's who on this block, they did it without flinching. They worked hard and played by the rules, teaching their kids to live and succeed on the same terms. They were rightfully proud of America and didn't think twice about defending her honor and her founding principles.
Those were the sort of people who raised me, so I understand a man like Trump on a basic level. He may be rough around the edges, but he's got the right stuff where it really counts.
Eddie, when you find a link to a clip of him saying the word vagina or equivalent, get back to me.
Agreed.
If Trump would take him as Veep, we’d get a fulfillment of McCain’s failed promise of Palin.
And Trump's no conservative, and his biggest loudmouth supporters are not the conservative base.
