In its debate coverage, FoxNews recent desire to be accepted into the fraternity of leftist-leaning journalists was on full display. Having built its audience by being fair to conservatives, its anchors now seek to pivot to the left in order to satisfy their professional peers.
It is very revelatory that CNN praised Fox News for its handling of the debate.
Fox News couldnt care less what the audience or the Republican candidates thought of them. It was trying to make it in the journalistic cocktail circuit. Thats why they pummeled Trump with such personal attacks and treated all of the other candidates like enemies.
Megyn Kelly was especially partisan, her bias showing through her questioning of Trump. You can bet shell never be as tough on Hillary as she was on the Donald last night and certainly wont be asking her personal questions.
Fox News showed an arrogant contempt for its audience in its leftist bias and was, in effect, telling them that they have no other place to go.
The networks choice of who got to answer questions was just one of the many ways it showed a bias. Conservative Ted Cruz had to wait for 25 other responses before he was finally asked a question and that one was about God.
Conservative newcomer Ben Carson was ignored for so long by the FoxNews anchors that he even commented that he was wondering if he would ever get the chance to speak.
Fox News could have shown that it could be fairer than any other station. Instead its liberal bias rivaled that of George Stephanopoulos.

You can add Chris Wallace to that.
“Maybe the candidates themselves should organize a series of self-moderated forums, live-streamed on the internet with all media invited to observe and simple rules, each candidate speaks for 1 minute in turn on any subject.”
Excellent idea, Sam! And worth repeating.
All we voting, taxpaying, involved Americans want to hear are the candidates—not the preening, posturing, blow dried, full-of-themselves inquisitor-scold tee-vee gerbalists like Wallace, Kelly and (regrettably) Baier.
And if a candidate-blowhard insists on speaking beyond his time, his mike is killed on the 61st second, so his mouth is moving.
This is the 21st century. We’ve got the technology so that we don’t have to do the old, “Well, Nixon looked bad, so Kennedy won.” black & white, alphabet network, lefty television nonsense anymore.
And Trump should be in front on this since, if Fox is targeting him, you know CNN and the rest are targeting him as well.
Isn’t that what Trump is doing in Florida. Asking some go join him
For once, Morris is right. Fox News goes liberal.
I agree with the Dick about the Donald and the other candidates in the debate. I’ll never forget “Megyn’s” victory dance with dumbo Obama won his second term.
Megyn is a puppet of the people controlling her. She changes on a whim. So she and the other moderators were told to take out Trump and ask ridiculous questions to everyone and they had to comply. Now they get to feel the wrath of viewers.
So, one is to presume you found no issue(s) with the line-up, format, questions or the like the other night? I sure didn’t read any point by point rebuttal of his stated opinion...
Did Fox not broadcast, days before, they ‘had it out’ for Trump? Yep. Did any other hoopla of the night assist ANY voter in knowing where the candidate stands on any pertinent question/event of the day? No.
IMO, nor was the setup even ‘fair’: polling data?! Really? WTF??
If they really wished to be known as ‘fair and balanced’, they would have had a 2-day event, with the stage randomly picked, whom to ask randomly selected and a list of known topics in random order. Everybody gets their thoughts/ideas out with SOME rebuttal and the in-fighting stays to a minimum.
Instead we got a fiasco that helped nobody. To me, @ least Trump fought back, not as well as Newt, but he wasn’t putting up with the B.S. from the MSM. The rest? Like Bush II...turn the other cheek like meek mice as not to offend. Pathetic.
Beg to differ not thin skinned. When dealing with a troubled child one draws a line. If that line is crossed even 1/4 inch there is a consequent. The testing by child will get worse to test the line. If you stand strong and call out every infraction (not ignore it) eventually the bad behavior is changed to positive
I think everybody received hard-hitting questions. Why shouldn’t they? Trump hits harder than anybody else. Shouldn’t he be hit back hardest? If Trump dishes it out, shouldn’t he be able to take it? What should she have asked?
Cliff Kincaid bashed Megan Kelly when shr went to primetime as bring a social liberal. He wrote that Fox News is going gay. I am surprised his long it took for Megyn’s true colors to show. Someone on this site was ranting about het in 2011. So the signs were there, but she hide them.

Baer has been hating on Trump for the past month.
...was, in effect, telling them that they have no other place to go.
And those of us that don’t have TV have known for a LONG time that FOX is liberal. They are just not as liberal as some of the others.
Verterns. The topic wee not even touched until she added it with a giggle to a religious topic
Unknown to the public Trump is strong on veterans. His time 13-18 in military school and receiving a 4F qualification has made him very sensitive to veterans. His contributions involvement with NY vets may help him carry the state. They and the Jewish community (his daughter and grandchildren are Jewish ) are not known or bragged about
For once Dick M. is right.
Sad but true.
Interesting.
...News Corp, the parent company of Fox News, hired Toni Cook Bush (not the same Bush family) to be Executive Vice President and global head of government affairs. She is a cousin to Valerie Jarret.
“I expected this of Kelly(look at me!) and Wallace(Im not my dad), but not Brett Baier (sp). Disappointing.”
Yes, Bret was the biggest surprise. Since when is it the duty of the moderator to extract a pledge to a political party. He set the tone with that question.
