It has been decades since I’ve see any kind of articulate understanding about what puts the anchor in anchor baby.
This hasn’t broken the streak.

Let’s disagree with the evolution of policy through the USSC (a weak spot in the constitutional structure) all we want, let’s try for a Constitutional fix for that situation, but let’s not mutate meanings ourselves too.

Now where does it say in the US CONSTITUTION that both parents have to be citizens for their child to be a Natural Born Citizen?

Where in the US CONSTITUTION does it say "Arms" means guns?

Oh, and by the way, please give up on the "both Parents" crap. The mother's citizenship was irrelevant. Just as both wife and children inherit a husband's name, so too do they inherit his citizenship. The mother being an American citizenship is automatic if she is married to an American Husband. It becomes "both parents" regardless.

A woman couldn't pass on citizenship separately until 1922.

The Constitution isn't a dictionary. There was only ONE definition of natural born Citizen at the time the founders drafted the Constitution. That definition is found in the Law of Nations.

I will point out something else to you. Prior to July 4, 1776, everyone was a British SUBJECT. Usage of the word "Citizen" to replace it didn't come about until around this time.

If you look up usage of the Word "Citizen" prior to 1776, you find it used to describe a member of a City. Search Shakespeare, or other writings of the time, and it is seldom if ever used to describe a member of a Nation.

Now where did this change in meaning come from? Who was using the word to describe the members of a nation around this time?

I'll give you a hint.

Le droit des gens, et les devoirs des citoyens, ou principes de la loi naturelle, appliqués à la conduite des affaires des nations et des souverains

What i'm getting at is that the usage of the word "Citizen" has Vattel's fingerprints all over it. That Vattel used it is the reason we also happen to use it... Now.

If you are trying to make some sort of point, it would be helpful if you could enunciate it more clearly.

Trump can associate not just donate to the likes of of the Clinton and many of their cronies nothing said. You can donate to who ever you wish, but inviting them to your wedding is a whole different deal. As I said if an other Republican Presidential candidate had do it or if any other had proclaimed that Bill Clinton was the best President now conservative would give them the time of day that the hypocrisy.

Good points all. I will also point out that 'Citizen' is congruent with a Republic. The Latin phrase civis romanus sum (I am a Roman citizen) is a phrase used in Cicero's In Verrem as a plea for the legal rights of a Roman citizen during the Roman republic.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands.......

I wish it was still that way. We wouldn't have Obama!

I see your point and your right of course. He also couldn’t
answer when he became a conservative. That’s not good.

Then it’s back to considering he’s in it to change
and/or set the narrative of the election. Or he has
been either bought or compromised. It’s a good show though.

Eat a sandwich Ann, your blood sugar is low, again..and again..and again.

You’d think she would get enough protein swallowing what DC is dangling in front of her while she is on her knees.

Coulter is yesterday’s Trump - somebody who made a name because she talked tough about people we don’t like.

Hope this means people finally see what she really is, and stop feeding her with attention.

"I was taught in my Social Studies (late 70’s) from the text book (for which I am still hunting) in the Great State of Texas ... BOTH parents had to be citizens to be Natural Born with the founders and those here at the Revolution grand-fathered as citizens."
In this case, your great state failed you. That two-parent requirement is not in the Constitution. Doesn't exist.

So go ahead and cast your vote for Cruz with a clean conscience; he's as natural-born as they come.

NOT GOOD !
"RedState.Com" is a FARCE, a LIBERAL RUN ORGANIZATION PRTETENDING TO BE CONSERVATIVE.
DO NOT TRUST THEM !

To hell with RedState and CNN Media Hack Erick Erickson!
Erick Erickson of RedState.com is NOT a Conservative !

On March 16, 2010, CNN announced the hiring of Erickson as a political contributor.
Byron York, a conservative journalist, criticized Erickson: Erickson has tweeted controversial remarks regarding feminists, including (in response to a 2010 Super Bowl ad) the following: It's time Erick Erickson be treated as the LIAR and LIBERAL that he really is.

CPAC 2016 will be March 2nd – 5th, 2016 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.

This gives conservatives and our like-minded friends the best opportunity to influence the selection of one of our own to be our nominee for President.
Help us select the next President of the United States!
