Carly Fiorina was the clear winner of the early Republican presidential debateat least according to social media.
The former Hewlett Packard CEO joined six other contenders who failed to qualify for the evenings main event, which is restricted to the top ten candidates in recent polls. However, her performance in the undercard event generated a great deal of online enthusiasm.

You have no idea what you're talking about. She made the tough decisions that had to be made for HP to get past the tech bubble era. HP was better for it in the long run.
Keep up.
That was a thing of utter beauty.
Basil, kinda looks like you are lurking the interwebs....do yer homework, or pound sand....that’s kinda rude. I’ll watch TV for debates, elections, et al....I have no time for TV. If I’m not at work, my ass is on the tractor prepping dirt or growing food. I listen to radio.
Thanks for posting this!
Though a Cruz man through and through, I do like the cut of her jib. She had Kris Tingle scared spitless!
Cheers.
She’s being praised to the hilt by the Washington Post.
The top link on Google news is to the ComPost article about her “shining debate performance”.
You should read it. She’s a Clintonite too, happily raising funds with and for Bill Clinton for the Clinton Global Initiative.
That may or may not be true - I haven't read anything about that, but it doesn't mean it may not be true. But that doesn't make anything she said about Trump untrue. If anything, it would put them both in the same boat.
How so?
Specifics, please.
I’ve been watching her for awhile now. My reactions are pretty much the same as yours.
I’m just not convinced she’s a conservative.
She is fearless though.
Agreed.
She was surprisingly fantastic in her responses. Actually, the second tier group did better than the first tier because the moderators were better.
Megan and company played “gottcha” to show themselves off by pitting candidates against one another rather than focusing on their policy ideas. I am disappointed in her.
She’s not. Read Conservative Reviews analysis of her. She is rated the worst of all of the candidates.
I was impressed with her when I listened to her on the CSPAN forum the other night. I hadn’t paid much attention to her before that so I looked into her a bit more.
According to CR she supports the dream act and opposes putting an end to the birthright citizenship loophole. Said she would not use Abortion as a litmus test for SC judges. She supported the Wall Street bailout and has called for more government intervention in housing. Supported parts of the stimulus, supports government benefits for same sex couples and does not support a Constitutional Amendment banning same sex marriage.
This just goes to show how if someone interviews well or is a convincing speaker they can sway people to support them and people will go with that instead digging deeper and finding out who these people really are.
But she talks a good game, was CEO of a big company (it’s debatable whether she was a success there or not) and says the right things about Hillary. Is that enough to go on when the stakes are so high?
I think people need to look into her past statements more closely before they jump on the Carly bandwagon especially since she seems to be FOX’s new darling.
Thanks. We were able to watch the debate. I’m glad we didn’t miss that.
Adelle either has a “it’s a woman’s turn” thing or wants Hillary to win and thinks that going against another woman will be her best bet...
