In an interview with Politico, Fox News hosts Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace revealed they already have a plan if Donald Trump refuses to obey the rules of Thursday nights Republican presidential debate.
Listen, hes going to be treated like everybody else, Baier said. Were going to treat every candidate the same. Everybody is going to know all the rules going in; there is going to be a sound at the end of their time it wont be a pleasant sound.
Are we thinking about different scenarios? Sure. Our job is to make sure everybody plays by the rules, he continued.
But Kelly said they had a plan if Trump refused to stop talking. We have a plan, but were not going to share it with you.

Not fear...
They are worried, and rightly so, that Trump will rant and talk incoherently and not follow the rules of the debate. Basically, hogging the limelight.
I understand that concern.
How can they moderate fairly when they are obviously biased against Trump?
My money is on Trump to be assertive but super polite and look good as the GOPe minions try to gang up.
I think it would be funny if Trump opted out. Their rating would probably take a dive.
A few seconds to finish a sentences is no big deal in this pseudo debate.
These are not even real journalists or reporters. These work for an ENTERTAINMENT division of Fox. They are just glorified readers.
I hope trump eats them for lunch.
Unless D Trump speaks up and says something like, "Did you people poll anyone about using THAT sound ? ... They should have been fired"
Trump has a way of having the most effective stand up deliverence since G Carlin
I suspect Trump has a few moles in the Fox Organization who will tip him off as to their plans.
Quite frankly I expect a fairly dull affair. No real time for anyone to speak.
Trump will play rope-a-dope with the more than willing GOP field.
That is funny.
Secret plan to deal with Donald...? Maybe he has a secret plan or two also...
How do you put a debate participant on double secret probation???
He will act like a statesmen then after the debate will say these are a waste of my time I will only due the ones I want not all nine there boring
One of the best ways is to cut his mic if & when he starts to run away at the mouth....
I suspect that is how Christie made it to the big kids’ table. The FoxNews people wanted someone who could possibly counter Trump.
What Trump does NOT want to do is have an Al Gore 1st debate performance where he kept interrupting George Bush and walking to his side of the stage.Trump has to watch out for being SNL'd after his debate appearance. SNL killed it for Gore, just like they did for Dukakis. They learned their lesson after Gore, and now go easy on the Democrats.
Darrell Hammond is just waiting to bring his Trump back. Trump will have to be controlled and watch his mannerisms. This means avoiding excessive use of superlatives like "huge" and "tremendous," or he will be Palinized. He should be matter-of-fact, but confident and knowledgeable.
But most of all, he should be respectful of the debate rules and other candidates' time, unless the others keep stepping on him. Even then, he should be on the lookout for collusion amongst the candidates to try to entrap Trump into an ugly unguarded moment. They want nothing more than to force an angry moment where they can hammer Trump with questions like "is he out of control?" or "how would President Trump behave with Putin?" or "can Trump get along with Congress?"
He has to watch out for the caricature. To counter it, he has to show control, command, and breadth of knowledge. And respect.

“... a Secret Plan to Deal with Donald Trump..”
Were going to treat every candidate the same....”
Did I miss something? Does this mean they have a special plan to deal with each of the 17 or 37 or however many can’tidates are now running?
I used to like Bret Baier but when he tore into Jindal in one interview and kissed Jeb’s butt the next day, I lost all respect for him.
The Fox folks better watch it or they’ll come off looking like a bunch of Monica Crowley knock offs.
I’ll be watching the moderators as much or more than the candidates.
Very unprofessional of Kelly to say that.
