So countries do not have a right to make their own laws? Is that your position?

I’m not sure if they are endangered or not, but saw one article say the population in Africa of lions has gone down 75% in the last fifty years. The primary reason is loss of habitat due to increased human population and changes in land use.
And I don’t know about lions, but with Rhinos, a lot of poaching goes on. In one country they lose over 2 rhinos a day to poaching. They allow legal hunts of 4 or 6 rhinos each year.

Doesn’t answer my question. Sidesteps it.
Would it be OK for non USA citizens to come here and break our law against killing American eagles?

If you travel to a foreign country should you abide by their laws or not?
Simple question.

I'm tired of the whole thing. Somebody tried to gin up that Cecil's brother, Jericho, was murdered so that Facebook could have another meltdown. Then it turned out Jericho was alive and well and still collecting Social Security benefits while the people of Zimbabwe were starving to death. This crap has got to stop. And faggy Americans - both men and women - have got to man up and stop being such fools for lies about "animal rights." Animals have no rights; we, as humans, have responsibility. LOL!
Tell us how you REALLY Feel!

Would it be OK for non USA citizens to come here and break our law against killing American eagles? Or fraudulently becoming president and crapping on the US Constitution?

I lived for 8 years in Congo and Kenya. The handwringing is being pushed by amoral globalists. No person that calls themselves “conservative” should be echoing the nonsense coming from these leftists.
It used to be that World Wildlife Federation and Greenpeace used to get laughs at FR. This stupid story has brought the leftists tendencies out in some FReepers.

Which law was broken? Are you an echo-chamber for Matt Lauer?

It is up to Zimbabwe to decide if he broke their laws or not. It is not up to us.
The question is, do countries have the right to make their own laws? Should Americans when travelling in other countries follow their laws?

Americans should not be travelling to other countries to do something that country has deemed a crime.
Having lived in Africa for 8 years, I can tell you this: being white and breathing in Zimbabwe is a crime.

I try to reduce things down to right and wrong. Killing Cecil was IMHO wrong. I have no problem with folks hunting, lots of people here hunt and eat what they kill. Fine, no problem. Trophy hunting is evil. Killing for the trill of killing. Pouching a lion on a preserve is despicable. I hope the Dr fries in hell.

Right and wrong are not subjective. Your "humble opinion" only counts for your own conscience - and you do not get to decide right and wrong for others when it is simply based on your "humble opinion."
Can you quote from some religious text, some legal document, some ethical document?

“Lion hunting has been going on in Africa for over a century.”
It has been going on as long as people have existed.
To: Tzfat
As far as I know Mat Lauer does not make laws for any country and I know that I do not. I’ve travelled a lot and have always been careful to follow the laws of the country I am in, whether or not I agreed with them, though them silly or whatever.
If you travel in another country should you abide by their laws or not?

You simply can’t answer what law was broken by the dentist. Instead you are using the “law” argument to promote your animal rights perspective.

Well if that is true, and if one is white, one should not travel to Zimbabwe and breathe ... yes/no?
Or do countries not have a right to make their own laws?
