I did not say we have to approve of any nations actions.
But if we travel there we should be prepared to follow their laws. Traveling in a lot of these countries is already risky at best ... thwarting their laws, capricious or not, is not very smart.
This is all neither here nor there as I doubt we have an extradition treaty with Zimbabwe.
What is a problem that I see on this forum is people hold out the USA to one standard and other countries to another.
That is a moral argument and a security one as well. Moral hazard is something that can cause us harm in the long run.
If we don’t treat other countries as sovereign then there is no reason for them to treat us as sovereign.
I wonder what the reach of the effect of Cecil and this new hunter will have on the African Safari Indstry. I have been a long-time member of the Dallas Safari Club and they produce a huge exposition in January of each year. They have hundreds of professional hunters, gun manufacturers, travel industry, certain cities promoting the hunting, photo safaris, and many other things. The threat of extradition to a third world country for trial for following the directives of government sanctioned outfitters sure makes me think twice about a hunt I want to go on in Alaska and or the Yukon. These radical environmental nuts are ignorant and do not understand that hunters are the major protectors of the wildlife. It reminds me of the econuts lobbying the california government to stop dozing the undergrowth in the mouton desert areas. They know EVERY year there are going to be fires. The democrats, in their wisdom, have not built a reservoir in the state since 1969. Yet they invite millions of illegals into the state. No planning. They sew the wind and reap the whirlwind.

I've never been much of one for African trophy shooting, though I once contemplated taking an elephant with an FN rifle with a Mark 76 Zulu rifle grenade launcher. Likely, there wouldn't have been but little bits of ivory chips left.
Neither does the idea of shooting one of the big cats really attract me. However, if I could get in a shot at that one that opens up the M-G-M movies, I think that'd look good as a wall mount.
You need to do some with the aborted babies and the doctors/sales agents. Some with hitlery saying she backs pp with aborted baby parts under her picture.
