This week, the Republican-led House passed a bill, the “PASSPORT REVOCATION ACT,” to give President Barack Obama the power to revoke or deny passports to individuals who his administration SUSPECTS may be affiliated with foreign terrorist organizations.
While the bill sounds sensible, in that preventing possible radicals from fleeing into the arms of the Islamic State group makes sense, it gives Obama the right to deprive Americans of their constitutional rights without a jury trial.
The bill allows the government to effectively ROB you of your passport if it THINKS you are guilty, regardless of whether you are actually guilty.
“This means the SECRETARY OF STATE CAN, unilaterally, with NO DUE PROCESS AND NO OVERSIGHT, deprive an American citizen the privileges of citizenship, thus relegating him to INTERNAL EXILE INSIDE the United States — a practice most recently PERFECTED IN THE SOVIET UNION,” Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity chief Daniel McAdams explained to reporters.
This should horrify all Americans, especially given that we live under a president who seems CONTENT TO DETAIN SUSPECTS WITHOUR DUE PROCESS and even kill American citizens overseas by drone strike.
And worse, PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA SEEMS INCREASINGLY TO DEFINE ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH HIM AS AN "EXTREMIST OR “RADICAL.”
Perhaps the saddest part about this is that our spineless Republican legislators just handed this power to Obama with little debate.
Some, like bill sponsor Rep. Ted Poe, even defended it on the basis that it will allegedly “help law enforcement locate” potential terrorists (H/T The New American).
Actually, all the bill does is DEGRADE the U.S. Constitution and the liberties guaranteed by it. And at the rate Obama is going, with the help of the GOP, the Constitution will eventually wind up being nothing but a page of parchment that reads, “Made in America.”
Americans can be sure that without a serious effort to rein in the attacks on the U.S. Constitution and the liberties it protects, the lawless extremism pouring out of Washington, D.C., will continue to accelerate.

About the only way I can think of planting a thought-seed in a Libturd’s brain of just how dangerous such powers are, is by projecting a future where a President they despise is allowed to wield such power.

Yup, we have lots of checkpoints along TX, AZ, and CA. Unconstitutional detainment, frequent delays of 20 minutes in line (at the big checkpoint near San Diego), dogs searching our cars, cameras recording every move and doing license plate scans, grilling and interrogation, and that’s all just in the primary line of the Border Patrol checkpoint. People who don’t live within the Constitution-free zone of 100 miles north of Mexico do not realize how bad it has already become. Meanwhile, the cartels and sex traffickers continue to freely move and operate.

I read your “about” page and see you can take care of yourself with defense weapons. If your bunker doesn’t have water and food and first aid and medicines, you need to fix that. We have prepper threads on FR, so read those to see if you are prepared. If you were making a joke in your reply to me, it’s time to forget jokes and prepare.

I’m near reasonably pure fresh water sources in both Crystal City and Florida, and have purifiers, so I’m Ok.
My main problem is in my car. Many would love to jack it, and I have to get through bad areas to get home in both VA and FL. Also both are elevator buildings, so I’m at DEF-PREP Orange whenever outside these days.

Are you saying you have two homes and both are in buildings with elevators? If that is true, yes, water is a problem. If you have two bathtubs in both apartments or condos, you need Water Bobs in all bathtubs. These hold 100 gallons of your good water and there is a pump to get the water out. You can get these at:

There is a saying that the best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it. I think the next president should use the common core standards to require gun safety training for all highschool students. That would be the fastest way to get that bad law repealed.
Shoot, they've been doing this for years. Not to terrorists, but to fathers who owe child support.
And the threat isn't just against the ability to get a passport, but driver's licenses too.

How about starting with the mosques and then follow everyone who goes in and out? I've about given up on our congressmen.

IF you’re affiliated with FOREIGN terrorist organizations. And then within 30 days, if they do it, they have to report to Congress WHY. Nothing about potential “domestic” terrorist groups.
