When Mitt Romney, the failed presidential candidate in the 2012 presidential election, pointed a scolding finger at Ted Cruz, the journal senator from Texas and current presidential candidate thought he must have died and gone to heaven. Romney is respected as a good man who might have made a pretty decent president had he not be such a bad politician. The main rap against Romney from the conservative base was that he was too gentlemanly and too timid, especially in the third debate, to have prevailed in an election that was very winnable. The National Journal reported on Friday that Cruz, keeping that in mind, unloaded on Romney with gusto.
Hitherto, Cruz had been publicly polite to Romney, but privately disdainful. In May, he told a private meeting of the Council for National Policy what he really thought of the 2012 standard bearer.
"We have had three elections since President Obama was elected. Two of them2010 and 2014were national referenda on Obamacare. It was the No. 1 issue, twice. Both elections were tsunami, tidal-waves for Republicanshistoric victories," Cruz said, according to an audio recording of the event obtained by National Journal.
"Now, in between the two tidal waves, the Republican Party, in its infinite wisdom, sought out and found the one human being on the face of the planet who had designed and implemented a program just like Obamacare. Literallythere are 7 billion people on Earth. You could have grabbed any other person and asked them, 'Excuse me, sir, have you designed and implemented Obamacare? No? You're a better candidate!'"

Wow...just wow. How long have we waited for candidates with the guts to take on the weasels and commies? Maybe God isn’t through with America just yet.
He was told to take a dive, and flop he did! Just like Juan, and Bob Dull before him.

LMAO that is a GREAT line!
someone drop a house on Willard...
The main rap against Romney from the conservative base was that he was and is no conservative. Romneycare ended all speculation about the nature of his political viewpoint. This conservative never thought he would be in any way a good president.
Ted Cruz, the... [what?] senator from Texas?
Ted is polite too, but he aint Skeered.
I don’t think he had to be told to “take a dive.” I believe that Republicans, gopes rather, simply don’t want to be president. They crave the approval and recognition of receiving the Nomination but they really don’t want the bother of being President.I think that goes back to Bush 1. Bush 2 didn’t try very hard either time and may have felt a tiny thrill when it became apparent that he would win it anyway. Gopes don’t think the voters actually choose the Nominee normally and are totally nonplussed when someone like Reagan or Trump comes along. Gopes campaign more to the DNC and the Big Money Men
The Journal Senator, can’t you raid ?
Reagan was the essence of polite.
Polite and steadfast.
Just what America needs
The GOPe? His campaign managers? Or....Was he given an offer he couldn't refuse by Obama?
HOORAY Ted. Hillarycare, Romneycare, Obamacare. Barry’s just the lawn jockey who rode their Trojan horse. Gruber is the stableboy with crap on his shoes.

No. Romney was a liberal and a liar, repeating myself.
If a candidate cannot stand up to his opponent then how in hell is he going to stand up to ISIS?
Ted Cruz the Junior Senator from Texas. That’s only b/c of Seniority. John Cornyn would not make a decent scab on Ted Cruz’s butt.
