Kentucky Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that the rise of fellow candidate Donald Trump is due to extensive media coverage of Trump and a temporary, sort of, lost of sanity on Thursdays broadcast of CNNs Wolf. Rand said of Trumps rise in the polls, Television works, Wolf. If you would give some other candidates time from 8:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night, all day long, every day for three weeks, Im guessing some other candidates might rise as well. So, for example, while some people are hearing about one candidate all the time, very few people know that Ive offered a tax code that you can fill out your tax return on one page [at] 14.5%.

Nope,it’s fueled by a deep seated hatred of all that is Wshington right now.People have just about had it with these bums.
Well Lord knows Rand has had a life of experience with a daddy that has had a permanent loss of sanity.
Yep—Straight out of Dale Carnegie—Insulting people is one of the most effective means of winning them over to your way of thinking.
NOT!
Pissant.
And taking Wolf Blitzer seriously is not insane?
Paul is a nut case, just like his father.
Removing all doubt that he is out of touch with the voters.
Maybe. Of course, they are attacking him all day every day, and yet it redounds to his benefit. Because at least some people are sick to death of the press, though they watch it, and sick to death of mealy-mouthed politicians, though they inevitably elect them. Somehow this all works to Trump's benefit.
Its also a lesson to any politician who will pay attention. PC kills the career of anyone who violates it and then apologizes. It is powerless against anyone who violates it and then doubles down.
And even fewer care.

Aaahh, Rand Paul looks like a Brillo Pad, who cares what he thinks.
Sincerely,
D. Trump
I love it. This is what we need.
I would love to see Rand at Treasury in a Cruz or Trump administration, implementing his flat tax and auditing the Fed. I promise you, that will get him the kind of wall-to-wall coverage he thinks he wants.
Meanwhile, if he would attack McConnell or the Obamists with as much gusto as he attacks Trump, if he would stand up for borders and citizenship, if he would speak up about the phony deal-making with Iran, then he would get the kind of hostile coverage he envies Trump for getting.
Tax reform will not go over well with the EIC crowd.
Sounds like he is channeling his inner McCain - Crazies, lack of sanity - same context, different words. Let’s not forget he endorsed McConnell. Enough said!
They have no idea whats important to us nor what we want them to do. How can we ever support them?
Coming from the man who likes the Obama/Kerry Iran deal.
Someone said something interesting today: "Donald Trump is the American Dream"!
Rand who?
Paul, you say?
Any relation to that former Congressman?
Oh yeah, that guy with his nose in McConnell’s posterior.
He had potential........
Trump is the wrong man for that, though
Sen. Paul, you just don’t get it—and you should. Remember your support when you spoke for hours on drone strikes? You got it then—why did you lose your touch with the people. IF Trump gets the nod—will you support him? The Loss of Sanity remark sounds a bit like the “Crazies” comment by McCain—better walk that back or face the wrath of Trump and his followers.
