It is said to have been an internal poll conducted by one of Donald Trumps GOP rivals. (one of the campaigns that is currently cash-rich but tepid in the polls) A quick test the water outline in some of the more critical battleground states. What came back stunned not only the campaign, but sent ripples through various Democratic operatives as well who have since been sending out the alarm Donald Trump is appealing to minority voters in a way not seen by any Republican of the modern era. It is a base of support cutting through a cross-section of normally divided demographics that could result in a 2016 Trump Landslide.
Its still hush-hush, but enough mouths are moving to make it credible. It apparently started with some Florida numbers by the leading candidate down there. They had been warned their numbers were slipping and the campaign decided to confirm. They received more than confirmation. What they came back with were numbers that elevated Donald Trumps support among minorities beyond anything they thought was possible. This initiated an order of three more internal polls of other battleground states and the results were very similar Donald Trump is making significant gains across the board with minority voters.
In just two months he has done what Republicans have been crying about doing for the last several years. Its remarkable. It also means the media, who likely already knows about the polling data, will be throwing everything they can at the Trump campaign to topple it once and for all. They cannot allow a candidate who is overturning all of the established rules of what a Republican is and isnt.
Democrats want him gone. Republicans want him gone. The only ones who appear to want him to stay is a growing number of supporters representing a surprisingly large percentage of the American public.
Well I guess the carefully constructive narrative that Trump “hates” minorities and immigrants has been blown to pieces.
I figured Trump had his “Akin moment” when he pounded on McCain. Yet, he seems to have brushed it off. But he does need to exercise caution. The media ain’t your friend!
Here we go indeed!
YES!!!
LOLOL.
YES!
but you must understand. There is no GOP just as there is no Black community. there are segments
As a member of the GOPc I now see the rise of a different coalition, the GOPt.
The GOPe, it seems is screwed.
That had me a little worried, too.
The McCain incident would have damaged him if McCain were actually liked. This just exposed that he’s not.
In the words of Sarah Palin, “You betcha!”
Not only is it attractive to blacks, it’s attractive to legal latino’s, as well.
Both groups have seen their jobs go to illegals.
That positive message is what changed me from an ignorant Dem to a Conservative when I saw the contrast between Jimmuh C and Ronald Reagan.
Me, too.
Without DT, this would be the usual snoozer-loser.
Say what? Trump is leading Florida?
Are you sure?
You have a point, but he sure is stirring things up, and that’s very important right now.
I admit to thinking that Trump was Toast when I initially heard of the McCain Comments he made.
Then I watched the Video and noticed how it was Frank Luntz that brought up McCain’s Hero status, not Trump. He badgered Trump and started the entire fake narrative.
Well, I learned my lesson and will withhold any further predictions of Trump’s demise until it really happens.
I 'm starting to think the political consultant class is running the country... Trump might be the best thing since sliced bread...
And how has that been working out for you? Seems to me that we attempt to elect 'conservatives' who end up just screwing us over once in power and corrupted by the system.
I suspect most latinos that are here legally will vote for him as well.
As long as he does good in the debates. Which he will, he really doesn’t give a sh(* about PC nonsense, or toeing the line, people like that.
Good synopsis of Trumps latest book at link on DB post. Really needs its own thread so others find it
The Democrat Calculus apparently failed to take into account what happens when you put a Reality TV star in front of low-info voters.
