Now it would be one thing if Ivana was making this allegation today. Instead, the first Mrs. Trump issued this statement to CNN yesterday:
“The story is totally without merit. Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign. Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president.”
That’s the “victim” presented by the story.
I’m sorry, but the piece in the Beast, where I once worked, reads like a hit job calculated to harm Trump. It encapsulates everything that people hate about the media. And I knew even before The Donald went on Greta Van Susteren’s show that he would use it to attack the media, and that his words would resonate.

And since FOX is the undisputed right arm of the Republican Establishment, they’ve got their nose in it from the beginning as well.
I don’t watch her myself, but from what people say Megyn Kelly was shamelessly salivating at the thought of ‘sticking it’ to Trump; obviously thinking that this tabloid trash is something that finally ‘got him’.
Some say it was her producer who ‘made her do it’, thus washing her hands of her phony ways, but that excuse doesn’t pass the smell test. FOX in general, and Kelly in particular despise Trump’s success.
The GOPe, RNC, and FOX all have to deal with the fact they can’t just throw ‘sh!t on the wall and see what sticks’. Trump can’t be manipulated and that infuriates them all to no end.
The odds that FOX/GOPe/RNC is fully engaged are pretty good.

It’s all for her ratings. Being anti Trump, she uses that avenue. If it doesn’t blow up in he face, she thinks it’s a success. They ALL care more about their success than who they use to get there.
Last night was not the work of her producers. Her presentation was crisp and cruel. She has lost a lot of credibility just before the debate. Fox has contact information but I’ve lost my information
Greta asked Trump about this and he handled it well.
