The American political class has failed the country, and should be fired. That is the clearest message from the summer surge of Bernie Sanders and the remarkable rise of Donald Trump.
Wall Street owns the country. It is no longer a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, but a government of Wall Street, by Wall Street, and for Wall Street. The great common people of this country are slaves, and monopoly is the master.
Yet the stagnation of workers wages as the billionaire boys club admits new members, and the hemorrhaging of U.S. jobs under trade deals done for the Davos-Doha crowd, has created a blazing issue of economic inequality that propels the Sanders campaign.
Between his issues and Trumps there is overlap. Both denounce the trade deals that deindustrialized America and shipped millions of jobs off to Mexico, Asia and China. But Trump has connected to an even more powerful current.
That is the issue of uncontrolled and illegal immigration, the sense Americas borders are undefended, that untold millions of lawbreakers are in our country, and more are coming. While most come to work, they are taking American jobs and consuming tax dollars, and too many come to rob, rape, murder and make a living selling drugs.
Moreover, the politicians who have talked about this for decades are a pack of phonies who have done little to secure the border.
Trump boasts that he will get the job done, as he gets done all other jobs he has undertaken. And his poll ratings are one measure of how far out of touch the Republican establishment is with the Republican heartland.

“...we need a morning talker”. I like Jim Quinn 6AM-9AM.
Did you watch his speech in Iowa? He is getting quite comfortable on the stump, very fast.
Hell, he’s done harder stuff than campaigning for a living for decades. Just watch.
Thanks for posting the details of Trump organization.
I want that crystal ball you are looking at. Anything can happen, and never say NEVER! Not too many out here want any of the other candidates. They aren’t registering with the voters. So, I’ll take my usual wait and see attitude.
“Did you watch his speech in Iowa? He is getting quite comfortable on the stump, very fast”.
I saw some of it and you’re right. Good point.
More and more, I hear ordinary folks saying things like “You know, I never liked that guy, but he makes a lot of sense...” or “He’s saying stuff that no one else has the guts to say.”
Yes. He CAN in fact win, IMHO.
He’s NOT used to OR comfortable with losing ... which is more than can be said for the majority of the GOP.
Scotty ‘Rhino ‘ Walker.
We can thank Scotty for putting the conservative /tea party hater
Reince Prebius aka Rinsed Penis as head Of the K street Uniparty !
Another brillant move by Scotty was to hire this left wing Pro Amnesty , Pro abortion , pro gay marriage nutter Liz Mair for his media campaign.
If Walker did not know Liz was left wing zealot then we are supposed to trust this clown dealing with Putin ? http://www.mofopolitics.com/2015/03/16/scott-walker-hires-militant-feminazi-liz-mair-for-outreach/
So how does a so called conservative accidentally hire this left-wing crazy ?
Then Scotty Walker hires the guy who ran the RNC smear campaign in MS against McDaniels !
My favorite one is DC Gop establishment Snob George Wills WIFE works on Scott Walker campaign.
Nothing say Phony DC insider snake then hiring and promoting
that crowd.
.Now That's Lol !,,
You really need to predict things further out, ‘cuz we can still remember all those other things you promised us.
“...someone else gets the spotlight.”
For example?
Trump will be at 34% after the upcoming debate.
Huckabee’s, Cruz’s, and Fiorina’s current support will eventualty swing to Trump because they are conservative. That will put him well over 40% and by the time the primaries are finished Trump will be winning state primaries with >70% support.
When he faces either Shillary or Sanders, he will pull Reagan Democrats, a larger percent of the black, Latino and women’s vote than any recent republican has gotten.
“he has peaked too early”
Aside from slapping around a couple individuals, he’s only focused on a couple of subjects. There’s much more for him to give his ideas on.
“The debates will end Donald...”
He has been debating hostile media for weeks and his ratings climb. All that is necessary is for him to continue saying what he has been saying; throwing in more if he feels the need. Why are you maintaining a successful negotiator can not debate?
It’s a long road to the primary.
Anything can happen. I can’t predict it.
What he’s talking about is not his verbal skills.
Trump is not a conservative. Never has been...still is not.
He’s using populism right now to gain cred, but he has yet to be vetted. This will not start until the number of candidates remaining begins to tighten up.
I’ve seen this happen in multiple elections so we have along way to go.
Not saying who will survive..because I don’t know...yet
Do you think his ego will allow him to leave the race?
I don’t often agree with old Pat these days. He is right on this one
What promises have I made to you so far?
I have said Trump won’t be on the final stand. I have also said he will implode. There is a long way to go, so just watch.
BTW, did this post rise to your level of approval? LOL.
This whole “he is a business man and he is a negotiator” so he is automatically good at such and such is BS. Come on, the guy isn’t infallible for gosh sakes.
He can’t debate...not in the arena of ideas. I hate to tell this to you and Donald, but there will be more questions than just about the evil media, McCain, Perry’s glasses, Iran and immigration.
Listen to the man answer questions...Tapper hit on it the other day. HE NEVER answers. He will be put on the spot and his ego will get the best of him. HE STINKS at giving policy answer...I could be wrong, but we will see.
BTW, why isn’t he doing the NH debate?
LOL...ok, we will see.
So far, even his “substantive issues” have lacked substance. Talking points is all we hear.
I will see if he flushes anything out tonight on Hannity.
