Ted Cruz: "Sen. Cruz: McConnell-Reid Leadership Team Operates for One Party: The Washington Party
Senator Ted Cruz Press Rekease ^ | July 26, 2015 | Ted Cruz

AMERICAN PEOPLE ELECTED A REPUBLICAN MAJORITY BELIEVING IT WOULD SOMEHOW BE DIFFERENT FROM A DEMOCRATIC ONE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After speaking on the Senate floor today, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued the following statement:

“We’ve just seen something extraordinary on the Senate floor. The American people elected a Republican majority believing that a Republican majority would be somehow different from a Democratic majority in the United States Senate. Unfortunately, the way the current Senate operates, there is one party, the Washington party.

“Senate leadership consists of the McConnell-Reid leadership team. They operate as a team. They support the same priorities. If you look at what has occurred in the United States Senate since the Republicans took a majority, we immediately returned after winning a historic majority to pass a trillion dollar ‘cromnibus’ bill filled with corporate welfare and pork. Then, the so-called Republican majority voted to fund Obamacare. Then, the so-called Republican majority voted to fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty. Then, the so-called Republican majority voted to confirm Loretta Lynch as attorney general. Then, just moments ago, the so-called Republican majority voted to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank, an egregious example of cronyism and corporate welfare.

“Every one of those is the priority of the Democratic leader Harry Reid

It’s not really the “Washington Party.” It’s the SAUDI PARTY. The only President since 1974 who was not owned by the Saudis is Reagan. The Saudi Party, George Soros, and the World Government Party control the so-called “U.S. Government.” All three so-called “branches” of it.

Especially the Bushes, and their Saudi agent, James Baker.

I want to hear Cruz start pointing out that it’s NOT just traditional Washington self-interest, boodling, graft, etc. It’s a FOREIGN POWER that has PURCHASED all three branches.

Yes, he does. I am disgusted that not one of the other Republican Senators stood up for his defense. NOT ONE, and why not.

If he is willing to do this and expose what is really going on, then some of the others "who say they want change" should step out on the plank with him, it's now or never.

I am so disgusted....

That’s why I don’t care if Trump is the nominee, he can’t possibly be worse than anything else the GOP puts out there (with the exception of Cruz)

PERFECT..........says it all. Been that was for 30 years, but we have just refused to believe it, until now an dCRUZ exposed them all. Highly recommend his book “Time for Truth”.

Is there not a peep out of Sessions or Lee? Is Cruz the only conservative left in the Senate?

The establishment and MSM have done all they can to destroy Cruz.

I pray that his outstanding fundraising numbers, combined with his willingness to go “all in” and call out not just Midge...but the entire Senate...will win him over with the American voting public.

BTW, welcome back :)

I learned from some new Republicans a long while back, who were In the Washington game.... that it's a deadly game in those halls.... The ‘Oldsters/Career Holders” have control and you play their way or they'll cut you and anything you want to do off. There's 'a stronghold' on our Congress...it's their game to play and nothing to do with the people.....we are simply the spectators....as we saw them play today and friday.....

I don't say this lightly but we do really need to pray for Cruz and Trump and their family's and teams......the stronghold in Washington, and their co-horts, are nasty nasty individuals when you're attempting to break their lock... What we see is nothing compared to behind the scenes.

I don’t see any of them standing with Cruz....nor with Trump...they reveal themselves...they want their jobs secure. That’s all.

At this point, only somebody who is delusional could trust the GOP “leadership” to do anything they campaign on.

Republicans, in concert with LBJ (who was about to be exposed as massive crook by RFK on the covers of both TIME and LIFE), murdered JFK. GHW Bush was involved. GHW Bush was also involved in destroying Nixon. The burglary was carried out to destroy Nixon. It had nothing to do with the Democrats. Nixon was not even involved in a cover-up, for the simple reason that there was no cover-up. There were conversations set up and manipulated to appear like discussions of a cover-up.

Whoa! Texas billionaires just gave $15 million to Ted Cruz super-PAC!

Billionaire brothers Farris and Dan Wilks donated $15 million

Dan and Farris walk into a room, they don’t want ever to be known, to be announced. They just come in and sit in the back,” said Luke Macias, a Texas political strategist who has worked with the family. “They are normal people. They dress normal. They show up normal.”

>> Cruz gets it but he is basically standing alone

Save Mike Lee, Jeff Sessions, and to an extent Rand Paul... unfortunately few others have the balls to stand up.

And my apologies to those Conservative Senators not getting the press coverage they deserve. But I’m far away from the whispers...

>>Please name a couple of candidates who aren’t ‘the lessor of two evils’.

>>OK, I’ll settle for the name of even one.

And that is the problem. In 2012, the Conservative Purists we’re finding that one imperfection in every single candidate and declared them all to the lessor of two evils. They thought that if they purged the field, then St Sarah would come into the race and save the Republic.

Well, she didn’t and we were left with Romney. And now the are all puffed up and self-righteous about how it’s not their fault.

Yes it is.

Liberals vote for imperfect liberals because a partial win is better than a total loss. They know that they win by increments, while we expect a reincarnation of Washington on a white horse to come in and chase all of the RINOs and Democrats out of the Capitol with a horsehair whip.

I just pray that Cruz can avoid saying that one thing that it will take for the Conservative Purists to turn their backs and declare him to be just another lesser of two evils. But I also pray that he doesn’t burn out early and drop out so that the Conservative Purists can declare that he was the “shoulda, coulda, woulda, Perfect Candidate” and that all others must be destroyed so he will “come back and give us another chance”.

Cruz speaks the plain obvious truth. The uni-party in DC exists to perpetuate and grow it's own strength.

Everything else is pure theater produced and directed for consumption by the masses.

Occasionally a true believer gets control, Reagen and Obama are examples. The party establishment are forced into an uncomfortable cooperation with them.

But what the vast majority of Congress critters and DC beuracrats want is a middle of the roader. They love their high paying no show jobs.
