OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump opened up a line of attack Saturday on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, accusing the leader in recent polls in Iowa of running his neighboring state into financial trouble.
It's the latest broadside against a rival of the outspoken New York billionaire. Last week, Trump went after South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham for calling him a "jackass." The New York businessman has characterized other candidates as unfit for the office and said the party's 2008 nominee, Sen. John McCain, was not a war hero in spite of his years as a prisoner in Vietnam.
Spurred on by a raucous audience of more than 1,000 at a central Iowa high school, Trump said Walker has an advantage in Iowa because he's from a neighboring state but that the edge is undeserved because Walker has mismanaged Wisconsin's budget.

Had forgotten the Wills connection. Thanks for reminding me. Will send Fox a note of displeasure next time he is on.
I'm pretty sure if you keep going you'll get to Kevin Bacon soon.
And you think if it wasn’t for Trump the media would be talking about Hillary’s criminal conduct? What was their reason for the previous 20 years?
I wish I could have been there. I love hot dogs...and I’m sure Trump got right in the middle of the crowd.
You think that's significant? which Part BTW
No doubt. He mentioned going next door to visit the other doom of people. Wafted reading about the picnic can picture a group at the grills and tables listening from speakers.
I believe you are wrong. Conservatives/Americans are hungry for a “take charge” candidate.
I see a pattern of behavior on Trump’s part. I recall reading a book on deal making he wrote. One example was he made a very generous offer and when the seller declined hoping to get a better offer Trump reduced his offer each time it was turned down. It not only sent a signal to his immediate seller, he was establishing a reputation for future deals.
Sorry, I can’t support an economic radical like Trump, who has proposed a 14.25% tax on all individuals and trusts with assets over $10 million. That’s even more “soak the rich” than Obama, Sanders or Clinton.
His plan for a 25% tariff on Chinese imports would also raise the cost of living for every American.
Been there.
When you are only who you are and you like people, it is a pleasure.
There are no complications.
This is why Trump is gonna win.
Trump is like a cat lover in a room full of cats. He loves them and they love him.
Hasn’t happened yet, therefore it never will. I get the logic.
You obviously don't know Trump. He never runs out of hot air.
He's in his element...he's the energizer bunny.
He doesn't drink and he only sleeps 3 to 5 hours a night. The rest of the time, he is working.
That makes me smile... ;)
He's actually getting better.
Anyone who does not have their own money is beholden to their donors.
Walker is no different.
Please cite a source. I don't like that either./
Have you listened to either of the two speeches that he made in Iowa or last week? Yes, he rambles and has a tendency to repeat himself.
But.... He is calling out all of the BS that has been going on in DC and has tapped into the issues that weren’t being discussed (until now).
I am glad he is in the fray. While the man has his faults, Trump’s accomplishments compared to the idiot that is holding the office now is monumental. We have experienced the worst of the worst.
Like others on Free Republic I voted for McCain and Romney and what did that get us? I am sick and tired of the establishment mealy mouthed politicians who don’t (or won’t) fight for America.
It is still very early.

In fact, in Social Studies under CC American History which includes the colonial era, Revolutionary War, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution are taught in 5th grade only! It used to be taught in 11th grade U.S. History. But not under CC. The only exposure to our country's founding American students get will be when they are 10 years old!
Walker is the governor of Wisconsin not Iowa. So how could walker support common core to be achieved in Iowa. walker is not is DC yet so he cannot state that Dc will push common core on anyone. Trump needs to get his states straight
