Cruz’s mistake was in believing anything GOPe leadership ever told him. They have no honor, no country, no morals, no shame. Only their second-tier power.

Cruz is doing a ‘GREAT JOB’ of exposing how corrupt the GOP is.

Ted said his staff tried to warn him that Mitch was lying to him. He ignored their advice and trusted Mitch.

I’m thinking Trump/Cruz should NOW form a third party to take on the GOP in the next presidential election. To wait until after the primary’s Bush endorsement to then split will be too late, giving Clinton the win.

We need this guy in ways I can’t list.

He just stood up and took down the biggest fraud in Republican party history.

INCREDIBLE COURAGE.

The Long Knives of the Corrupt will be out for him, for he really is the Untouchable.

Better get a clothespin to clamp that turkey gizzard from flapping back and forth...he must really have his panties in a wad now. John and Mitch will have to have 5 cocktails for lunch today.

Of course McConnell is lying!

He continues to have an R after his name when 90% of his actions indicate that he is a Democrat

I heard Cruz on Rush.

He just declared war on Mitchy and Bonehead and the entire Gop Leadership.

Rush was shocked at his candor.

I am glad he is standing with Trump and not taking a prisoners approach.

very impressed

Cruz is a great guy and he is not a member of the Uniparty so we have to support him. Not necessarily for president but write him and tell him he is appreciated.

From Cruzs book......

On leadership corruption and sellout......

That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, “We’re asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.

Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, that’s what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because we’re scared of this issue. We don’t want to have a political fight on this.

But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.

Now, I was sitting there — to be honest, I hadn’t gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, “There’s no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, I’ll fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.”

If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.

I was so mad at Cruz for this vote that I lost some of my confidence in him.

Maria Cantwell is using McConnell on this vote because she needs cover from her own constituents for supporting a coal terminal in WA State that needs the export import bank to sell sun/bituminous coal to Asia. The coal is so worthless that the producers want tax payers to pay Asian countries to take the product off our hands. Sub-bituminous coal is literally cheaper than dirt. All of the expense is in the transport and handling. PattyMurray ‘s husband is a member of the ILWU and was a lifetime employee of the company that is building the terminal. Warren Buffet owns the rail road that moves the coal. Maria Cantwell has facilitated the project from the start, against the will of her own Democrat Constituency.

Cruz gave McConnell ‘the benefit of the doubt’, even though his staff warned against it?

Cruz then cast his votes based on lies, lies which seemingly everyone else knew were lies.

Cruz does not currently posses the wisdom to make the right decisions which are needed to be a good President.

According to the NYSlimes story on this

‘(Cruz) said that Mr. McConnell had been “visibly angry” and that like St. Peter, the majority leader had offered a denial three times: “There is no deal, there is no deal, there is no deal.”

I cannot believe that Cruz is getting excoriated by some here for giving the GOP Majority Leader the benefit of the doubt after he says in front of witnesses that he will do something. Good luck finding someone who is perfect.

This is another link to the video:

http://therightscoop.com/ted-cruz-slams-mcconnell-accuses-him-of-lying-on-senate-floor-says-he-cant-be-trusted-video/

It is one of the best political speeches I have heard in a long time.

It is ridiculous to accuse Cruz of doing little or nothing. Trump and others have little to show compared to Cruz.

If shutting down the government was his only accomplishment, it would be more than all other candidates.

Cruz has argued nine times before the Supreme Court— winning 5 of those cases.

He is the best debater and advocate in our field.

He deserves much higher ratings than walker, rubio, or Bush.

Anytime anyone fails to READ a document then lays blame on someone else, well, that just means they are incompetent and cannot be trusted to represent me. I read everything before signing. Only a moron doesn’t, and we don’t need any more morons representing us.
