The Republican Partys donors have a brand new idea: lets boycott those we disagree with! Will they never learn?

...
This means that those other candidates and the Republican Partys leadership have to be smart about the way they deal with Trump. The best strategy is to take him seriously. Yes, even when hes bullying everybody else and saying outrageous things about them.
You see, Trumps current popularity isnt about him, but about conservative anger. Conservative voters are pissed beyond measure: they feel ignored by their party, they believe amnesty for illegal aliens is all but a done deal, and theyre angrier than heck about it. Who can blame them? I know I dont.
Instead of vilifying Trump, other Republicans have to make clear that they understand conservatives anger and concerns. They have to start talking about the issues he has raised illegal immigration and the crime related to it, first and foremost. Thats why I was glad to see that Senator Ted Cruz did exactly that:

Great, but sadly a large part of the GOPs donor class and establishment dont quite understand this:
Many national Republican officials are increasingly resigned to Mr. Trumps looming presence. At a meeting of the Republican Governors Association this week in Aspen, Colo., donors and operatives mused about how to prevent him from hijacking the debate.

It irks me that some candidates think they have more of a right to run than someone else does. Who do they think they are that they are more special? It shows a very bad tendency when they feel they should push someone else out of the race just because they don’t like him. It is the equivalent of cheating.
People use all kinds of tactics to get more than their one vote. They use pressure, tantrums, drama, ridicule, etc. By “they” I mean everyone from Big Media to special interest groups to party loyalists to candidate supporters to even Internet posters who jump all over someone else just because they support a candidate they disapprove of. It’s shameful.
the very moment that a candidate makes an asinine decision like that, he/she loses tens of thousands of potential voters and stands to gain none....just shut up and let Donald be Donald....who cares???
I think someone already has that acronym.
I can think of plenty of candidates who would jump at the chance for more air time...Carson, Fiorina, & Kasich immediately come to mind.
Who were you thinking of?
I’m joking that a good number of low-information Democrats would vote CPUSA simply because they are leftists. Has nothing specific to do with Trump. Why am I trying to explain this? :)
Nonsense...Walker is losing nothing...he is, in fact gaining in most polls and in the minds of American voters.
Cruz. If they all boycott Cruz will be there for sure.
..New headline: Trump makes Rinos Whineos
Trump needs to be careful(/s), they might boycott the debate if he is included -Oh no, whatever will we do if they don’t show up? This would be tragic (/s).
Are you paying attention at all????...good grief, the only thing Walker hasn't done is kill a few "progressives"
What does a person have to do to satisfy you????? He has soundly opposed and defeated unions, Democrats, and the influx of crooked insurgents from Illinois in the so-called recall election.....Fear not, he is no RINO and is, actually, our best hope for victory over whoever is the Democrat candidate.
I’m with you on Jeb. I will stay home. Can’t stand him.
jbush is still a factor or we would not have this thread.
This would be as dumb a move as the entire McCain campaign.
The STUPID are EVERYWHERE.
Name names.
Who are these GOP donors?
Thank you Mr. Perot, for your insight...it really screwed things up the last time we tried it.
I agree. This country is done once they get blanket amnesty. If he does nothing else, Trump forcing this issue into the light and making it clear that we want the border shut and no amnesty is a game changer for this election. The GOP was perfectly happy to ignore us and pretend we agreed with them. Trump’s making that a tough proposition.
Don’t fear Trump, he is stirring a pot that needs to be stirred up. That which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. You have arguments, argue clear and strong.
Maybe not but you will vote for one that is lying about it because they are all amnesty candidates, they just call it something else.
Morons! Do that and you guarantee that the next President will be a Dem, that the next 3-4 Supreme Court Justices will be appointed by America-hating radicals, that we’ll be guaranteed to go off the rails at high speed.
Why don’t you GOPe types try to defeat Trump by showing that your candidates have better ideas, or better experience...you know, that that MERIT the nomination, rather than deserve it by virtue of “its my turn” or some such similar nonsense.
