New poll: Trump 22, Bush 15, Walker 12. We did NOT see Trumps numbers decline after his attacks on McCain -
Wilson wrote about details of the survey, including an important observation that Trump has gained support from an earlier poll taken this month, passing Jeb Bush who has lost support.
The Morning Consult survey, conducted July 17 through July 20 among 1,978 registered voters, includes a subsample of 754 self-identified Republican and Republican-leaning voters who say they will participate in the partys presidential nominating contest, for a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points.
There is no evidence that Trumps numbers have slumped after comments he made questioning Sen. John McCains (R-Ariz.) war record. Though most of the rest of the Republican field and even the Republican National Committee loudly criticized Trump after he made the comments on Saturday morning at an event in Iowa, voters interviewed afterward werent any less likely to say they support him.
In fact, Trump has gained ground since a Morning Consult poll earlier this month, when he trailed Bush by a 19 percent to 17 percent margin. This week Trump is the second choice of 12 percent of voters, behind Bushs 18 percent.
The poll shows Trumps favorable/unfavorable opinion with Republican voters at 49 percent favorable to 41 percent unfavorable.
A Washington Post-ABC News poll released on Monday that only had one day of polling post-Iowa had Trump at 24 percent. Walker was second at 13 percent and Jeb Bush third at 12 percent with the rest of the field below nine percent.

He can no longer get through to the dummy who sits on his lap by phone to run! ;-)
“Today they said Trump is going to the border next week to personally talk to border agents. LOL!”
A couple days ago I posted the idea that Trump and/or his organization should conduct negotiations secretly to have the prisoners in Iran released.
Imagine having a candidate who actually takes action against our enemies instead of tip-toeing around every issue so as not to offend anyone.
When a bull breaks out of the stall, tosses the rodeo rider to the ground, that leaves only the rodeo clowns (the media) to try and corral him. They wave at the bull, dance in front of him, but when the bull turns on them, they run like scalded rabbits and jump the fence.
Luntz and Hannity are deeply saddened.
Pray America is waking
So why is Trump going after McCain?
Ok, I’ll bite....WHO of the RINO’s has been affected by Trump?
Bush? not yet. Rubio...maybe a little, but not really.
Walker (although he isn’t as bad a RINO as others)...no.
He is hurting guys like CRUZ...and yet, everyone on here seems to think he is paving the way for Ted.
He hasn’t hurt the GOP-e yet. Making fun of McCain is great, but didn’t do anything of note to destroy the GOP. He has super high negatives....
Seems to me that he is running to take out Cruz and others...I could be wrong, but looking at the polls, it is Cruz, etc, that are hurt by Trump.
Well I think you missed my little joke there.....but to your question...I think McCain started this thing with Trump, and Trump was responding. Are you a McCain fan of some sort? (just axing)
He is.....be patient.......(yeah, it’s tough to be, I know...)
I almost voted for Obama because I can’t stand McCain.....almost. There has never been a presidential nominee, other than Reagan, that doesnt make me want to wretch.
I didn’t almost vote for Obama, but a little history here:
I owned the site in 2007 “stopjohnmccain.com - a site dedicated to keeping him from the nomination. I’ve been on to McCain since 1992 - since I dealt with him as part of the 92 Prez Campaign. I knew he was trouble then. I even got into a radio fight with G Gordon Liddy in about 93 over this...Liddy was all into the McCain war hero crap....blinded him.
It was lonely out here on the edge...being anti McCain since 92 and anti Rove since 2000......but it’s getting crowded now.
But, he may well be walking into El Chapo’s gunsights! He better be wary. No one really likes McCain—and the old sacred “War Record” doesn’t play as well as it once did. Besides, most know it was just “Trump being Trump”. He was not happy with McCain’s “Crazies” remark.
Cruz / Carley ticket with Trump as Secretary of State, now that would be some ticket.
Later
“after comments he made questioning Sen. John McCains (R-Ariz.) war record. ... voters interviewed afterward werent any less likely to say they support him.”
This has got to be killing Priebus, Rove, Jebbie, Grahamnesty, and the rest of the Republican pantywaists.
Life, Fortune,Honor. He has laid them all on line. He is not standing alone
LOL! Oh my God, can you imagine that if he got them released? LOL LOL! Totally upstage the Kenyan traitor and his treason boy Kerry. You know you can send him that idea on Twitter, I send him a few messages and he answered one of them
https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump
You know I really think Trump could do that but I would imagine if he succeeded the Kenyan traitor would have the IRS breathing down every single aspect of Trumps company
Actually, I did send that to his site two days ago.
I totally agree. Wait til Trump gets to the border this week and then holds a Townhall with the border patrol.
It begs the question as to why not one of the other GOP wannabes has had the foresight to do this kind of stuff. Not one of them. Pretty sad.
Because the GOP plays according to the rules set by the Left.
Pretty stupid.
