Scott Walker tells undocumented worker that immigrants must follow the law

PLAINFIELD, Iowa — As presidential hopeful Scott Walker toured a farm in this tiny town where he lived as a child, he was confronted by an undocumented worker from Mexico who is living in Wisconsin and demanded to know why Walker does not support President Obama's plan to give temporary status to some undocumented workers, including parents of children who were born in the United States.

"We're a nation of laws," Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin, repeatedly told Jose Flores, 38, who was joined by two of his four children, Luis, 7, and Leslie, 13, who had tears rolling down her cheeks throughout the exchange. Flores, who lives in Waukesha and works for a medical supply factory, said he and his wife live in fear of being deported and separated from their children, who he said were all born in the United States.

"My point," Walker said, "is that you have to follow the law, follow the process."

What is this “don’t want to be separated from our children” excuse? Shouldn’t the entire family be deported?

Also, did they supply fraudulent documents to get hired? When I had employees we had to get I-9s from everyone and now I’m starting a new job and have to verify my citizenship. Don’t understand how the illegals get away with this.

The children were born in United States, so they become anchor babies, meaning automatic US citizens. That anchor baby law should be changed first.

The anchor babies make it possible for the illegal parents to stay because the bleeding hearts do not want to break up families.

Illegals can go to an immigration office to get started. There’s always been a path to citizenship for any who did nothing terribly wrong.

"I do not need to watch the video..."

What an absolutely absurd thing to say!

Except they should not be able to pursue a path to American citizenship if they entered the country illegally at any time. If they are here illegally and apply for entry they should be deported and denied.

Of course deporting anyone right now won’t do any good. The border must be secured first.

Walker wasted his time talking to the illegal. Nothing Walker said was going to make the illegal happy unless it was that he can stay and he can have amnesty. Nothing else is of any interest to him.

Why wasn’t this guy immediately arrested and deported. Who is he working for in Wisconsin? The company needs to be shut down and its assets confiscated.

Anchor babies are dual citizens. Ship them back with momma and poppa.

Walker should have tackled the illegal wetback and demanded DHS deport him.

I do not need to watch the video to know that Walker is just posturing.

Yeah, you're the smartest guy in the room. You can read Walker's thoughts while ignoring his record, his words and his actions

Frankly, you, sir, are an idiot.

Why didn’t he take out his cell phone to call ICE, right there and then, to deport the complaining (criminals) lowlifes?

Dang you're right he should have just shot him on the spot, it's obvious it was all a set up to make Walker look good to the base, right? After all the press in Wisconsin is in the bag for Walker, LOL.

It’s worth coming to the United States in large part because of the advantages that being a nation of laws has given our country. If we didn’t enforce the law and instead became the liberal image for our future, we would become Mexico. Within a few years, it would no longer be better here than there.

Yeah. I’d like to know more about this medical supply company in Waukesha that’s employing this guy. Unemployment is still pretty high in Wisconson.

I agree. That video shows an illegal alien openly confronting a presidential candidate. The fact that this illegal alien managed to create a family here doesn't make the lawbreaking OK. Who knows what other laws he violates on a regular basis just to work here? Additionally, no one is going to force him to split up his family. He can take his anchor babies with him. It is a sad situation to be sure, but his family will survive. He should have thought about the possible repercussions before he broke the law!

He is elsewhere, in another current thread, supporting amnesty. You can trot out all of the spam

The other thread is spam. Your mention of it in this thread is spam.

Flores, who lives in Waukesha and works for a medical supply factory, said he and his wife live in fear of being deported and separated from their children, who he said were all born in the United States.

But he had no fear of engaging in political activism in a country were he doesn't belong.

He had no fear of being fired from a job he has no business of holding.

And he has no fear of even identifying the company where he works.

OR they got here under a VISA and then went under the radar. Kinda like maybe a terrorist would.....

Now play nice and come on out and follow the law, you immigrant /s

Sheeeeesh....these dunces will never get it. A whole lot of these basturds are invaders of our country and need to be hunted down in military fashion.

to follow the law, illegals would have to return to their country of origin.

If you have been paying attention (like many on this forum refuse to do) you would know that that is exactly what Scott Walker requires as part of "a path to citizenship". "Go home and get to the back ofthe line."
