John McCain is an American hero. Although we have some policy disagreements, I'm proud to serve alongside him.

So, is he going to disqualify himself as a profile in courage as well?

If Bush gets the nomination, I believe you will see the lowest voter turn out in this century. I will NEVER vote for him.
I can handle Ted taking the high ground but not saying he agrees with McCain 100 percent.
My critique of John McCain would begin at the end of his military career. McCain came back from being a POW to being a liaison officer with Congress. McCain helped the Navy to sell the defense contractor products it wanted to Congress.
This whetted John McCain’s appetite for a political career and McCain made it to the House and Senate. McCain’s tough guy talk on intervention all over the world is linked to those defense contractor ties he still has.
Another source of $$$$$ for John McCain have been the media companies. We’ve all noticed over the years how McCain has been puffed and promoted by the media.
That’s because John McCain has either chaired or been ranking Republican on Senate committees that oversee the Federal Communications Commission and media regulation.
Ted Cruz Ping! At least Cruz did not brand McCain a WAR HERO.
American Hero is fine for anyone serving in military.

Yep! When he ran for President in 2000, McCain chaired the Commerce Committee.
And, at one point, he admitted he still didn't now how business worked...
Just like “marriage” the meaning of the word “hero” has been altered beyond recognition. Ben Carson, when asked if McLame was a war hero, said “It depends on your definition of a war hero.” There once was a time when words actually had meanings and weren’t subject to whim.
But you notice Trump didn’t attack McCain for that. he went after his military service, thereby distracting from all McCain’s terrible stuff. Neat trick. And so many people fell for it.
Did Trump endorse Romney? Did he register as a Republican to vote for him in the primary?
Is McCain running for president?
Yes, by the fact that he is fighting the establishment for the nomination and that includes McCain influence as much as Bush influence.

If Cruz had said he was a great senator then I would agree with your take of hostility.
He served. Cruz acknowledged that and moved on.

Cruz was my choice over Bush and the squishes from the beginning;yet I realize he still is constrained by good manners and limited finances from saying FORCEFULLY what Trump is saying , which are things huge numbers of Americans also believe.

Saying he likes those that are NOT CAPTURED? is a big big mistake. He wants to joke around with that instead of making a solid serious apology to thousands of Americans who have been captured and tortured throughout our history.
If he keeps on schuck and jiving around with this the dems are gonna blast him with a very tough political ad full of film of”American who WERE captured” being tortured in Vietnam and video of Trump partying in College during the same exact years 1967,68,69,70,71,72,73.
