Trump Awakens Kerry’s Vietnam Anger With Slam On McCain
The Daily Beast ^ | July 19, 2015 | Mike Barnicle

The Iran nuclear deal that could prevent a war must have evoked another deal to end a war almost 50 years ago in the Secretary of State.

John Kerry was angry.

“Listen to this. Listen to what Trump just said about John McCain,” Kerry was saying over the phone. “ ‘He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.’ ”

“That’s unbelievable,” Kerry said. “That’s beyond outrageous.”

“John and I have some serious differences on a lot of things but he is nothing other than a hero and a good man. Where was Trump when John got shot down over North Vietnam? In school? At a party? Where was he?”

For many months now, years even, Kerry has been point man in Barack Obama’s attempt to restrict Iran’s plan to develop a nuclear bomb. He has been a walking high wire act, traveling a region that is nothing less than a geographical bonfire filled with the debris of failed nations, countries that have collapsed into chaos and terror largely because of the contrived plans of men like Dick Cheney who dreamed of the day when Saddam Hussein could be toppled. The conservative ideologues got their wish while the United States got a larger, longer war and the Middle East became an even bigger source of horror and death....

The only think Kerry earned related to the war was a prison sentence for providing false testimony before the U. s. Senate.

He should still be in Leavenworth for lying about our troops.

He should have been tried for Treason, convicted and shot.

No John, THIS is outrageous........

They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.

Works for me. I have no use for the guy. He and McCain are both of the same ilk.

The bigger question is WHERE WAS JOHN F'N' KERRY when McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton!!! Meeting with NV diplomats and playing at building his future as a "World Citizen"??

“And Kerry is as much beloved as John McCain is... “

Perhaps not so beloved as was McCain Kingu. It was the Democrats, including Kerry, who initiated and sponsored the two Senate actions, Senate Bill 2678 and Senate Resolution 511 during the Spring of 2008 to create the talking points for the media, and to mislead the uninformed about the ineligibility of McCain. Why would they do this? Because it shut up those few Republicans who might be tempted to question Obama’s eligibility, since McCain needed an interpretation by the Supreme Court to take office.

Senate Bill 2678, February 17 2008, sponsored by Obama and his campaign co-chair Claire McCaskill, the “Foreign-born Children of Military Citizens Natural Born Citizen Act.” It FAILED to pass. Both Senate rules and legal precedent would have prevented Obama and McCaskill from submitting a moot bill. If they didn’t have cause to believe their legal case had merit they wouldn’t have submitted it to the Senate for a change in the law.

Senate Resolution 511, the “Senator John S. McCain Natural Born Citizen Resolution”, included legal misdirection by Harvard Law Professor and Obama’s Harvard adviser, Larry Tribe, whose plagiarism charges were squashed by Elena Kagan before she was appointed to the supreme court, and Ted Olsen, another lying former Solicitor General.

In the Senate hearings you can read the testimony from former judge and DHS Chair, Michael Chertoff: Chertoff: “My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” “That is mine, too,” said Leahy.” McCain’s problem was not that his parents weren’t citizens when he was born; they were. The Canal Zone was not deemed sovereign U.S. Territory until 1937, the year after McCain was born. There should be an amendment or reinterpretation to amend Article II Section 1 to include children of military citizens on assignment, but it has never happened, and wouldn’t have while Obama, whose parents were not both citizens when he was born, was a candidate. Note, that is just the bill submitted by Obama and McCaskill that didn’t pass in 2008; a law cannot affect Constitutional interpretation, a fact almost certainly familiar to every Congressperson.

Democrats have been supporters of McCain for decades because he can always be counted upon to help them. Now they and the Jeb Bush Republicans can use McCain to attack Trump. McCain has violated his oath as a navy officer to preserve and defend the Constitution. He is no hero.

Not to defend Trump, but who is Kerry to talk?

What he said about all of us before the Fulbright Commission back in 1971 is far worse and he has never expressed any real sorrow for throwing every single last Vietnam Veteran under the bus then.

No this is the Kerry who said Vietnam Vets poisoned food, raped women, attached testicles to phones and razed villages in a manner of Jijis Chan.

Trump has all the right enemies.

Pray America is waking

John Kerry is a consistent failure. We have to hand it to him for that, but why should we have to ride his elevator?

Is this the same John Kerry-Heinz I am thinking about? The one that lies, betrayed his country and tries to play the intellectual?

I thought so.

Yes and I remember when Jimmy Carter said the Shah of Iran had to go so that our children’s children wouldn’t have to fight a middle east war in the future. He ain’t no prophet and neither is Kerry and his doormat treaty with Iran.

Didn’t Kerry throw all his medals over some fence????

He later admitted that the medals he threw weren't his own actual medals.

But the disrespect he showed for his own country and fellow soldiers was real.

I have tremendous respect for McCain, his father and his grandfather’s service. But since he became Senator, he doesn’t give a rip about POW, MIA, veterans, or military at all. He did win a round of jeapordy on Art Fleming’s show back in 65 though.
