Gov. Scott Walker and other Republican presidential hopefuls have finally had it with Donald Trump.
Wisconsin's Republican governor had repeatedly said he wouldn't criticize the billionaire real estate mogul or other 2016 GOP candidates, but that changed Saturday after Trump took his feud with Arizona Sen. John McCain to a new level.
"He's not a war hero," Trump told the crowd at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa. "He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."
Walker promptly tweeted, "Just told a crowd in Sioux City: @SenJohnMcCain is an American hero."
And Kirsten Kukowski, a Walker campaign spokeswoman, followed up with another tweet adding that Walker said "I unequivocally denounce him" for attacking an American hero.
Other Republican candidates were also quick to condemn Trump's comments.
"John McCain is an American hero," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal tweeted. "After Donald Trump spends six years in a POW camp, he can weigh in on John McCain's service.
Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and others joined in with swift, sharp criticism of Trump's latest attack on McCain.
Walker had vowed not to criticize, or try to speak for, Trump or other GOP contenders.
"What I've said is that Donald Trump can speak for himself," Walker told reporters after addressing supporters at an Iowa ballpark Friday. "I'm going to answer questions about my positions, not about Donald Trump's or Jeb Bush's or Marco Rubio or anybody else out there."
But on Saturday, Walker called for Trump to apologize to McCain.. "He needs to apologize to Senator McCain and all the other men and women who have worn the uniform," Walker told reporters following a campaign stop in Sioux City. "It's just a disgrace."

I don’t consider hair-boy’s avowed liberal positions to be a laughing matter.
Issue is simple..a pilot who gets shot down without causing any damage to enemy is no war hero. The Viet-Cong treated McCain special because he was son of a US Admiral. Which is why he was singled out for early release. McCain realized how bad it would look if he was released but other captives were not.
This weekend I visited Museum of Flight in Seattle. There are dozens and dozens of exhibits of WW-I and WW-II war heroes there, with descriptions of their heroics. There is not a single exhibit of McCain because he performed no heroics.
The museum even has exhibits of German & Japanese military personnel and their heroics. The best fighter pilot ever, the Red Baron, shot down 80 enemy aircraft. Too bad he was not on our side, but that is real heroics. Getting shot down on your first bombing run can hardly be called heroics, as in the case of McCain.
How about ¡Yeb!’s avowed liberal positions?

don’t confuse the argument. jeb bush’s lack of conservative credentials doesn’t justify donald trump’s past liberalism.

Trump responded, “He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured, okay? I hate to tell you.” Trump re-iterated, “He’s a war hero because he was capture, okay? You can have — and I believe — perhaps he’s a war hero, but right now, he said some very bad things about a lot of people. So, what I said is, John McCain, I disagree with him, that these people aren’t crazy.”
“hair-boy’s” stance on violent illegals, and the porous southern border, are more conservative than Bush, Rubio, Walker, Huckabee, Perry, and all other RINO’s combined.
If this invasion of illegals continues for a few more years, liberal democrats will be in PERMANENT majority and conservatives will be reduced to an insignificant and irrelevant minority.

The issues don’t get as much press as statements like this. People have started to talk about Walker since he announced, Trump can’t have that. The race needs to revolve around him
Some people on this thread are being very silly, anyone who doesn’t agree with Trump that McCain isn’t a war hero is a RINO? Everything that comes out of his mouth must be agreed with even when it has nothing to do with policy? WHAT-ever.
McCain’s ideology is irrelevant to the question of whether he’s a war hero or not, so is Trump’s ideology, which up until this month hasn’t been very conservative either. The people disparaging the other candidates for not agreeing with Trump’s inflammatory personal attack that is very likely to be political poison among Veterans, an important GOP constituency, ugh, come on.
In a same vein while I think Hillary Clinton deserves to be called really ***king ugly, because

because it clearly spells out why Trump said what he said about McCain. Luntz tried hard to define McCain as a war hero, and Trump basically just disagreed.
If McCain is a war hero, why there are no exhibits of him in the Museum of Flight in Seattle. There are hundreds of exhibits there depicting all the heroics of US pilots during WW I & WW II. McCain is not there, because there were no heroics.
The candidates should spend their time attacking big “O”!
