Republican presidential candidate and former Texas Governor Rick Perry strongly criticized fellow candidate Donald Trump for his remarks about Senator Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) at Saturdays Family Leadership Summit in Iowa.
Perrys discussion began with Frank Luntz asking the audience who they would invest in the most between teachers, nurses, and veterans. Perry then expressed his desire to answer the question. He stated, if you dont first keep this country free. If you dont first have the investment in the men and women who are willing their hand up and say, Here am I, send me, You will never have the dollars to hire the teacher. You will never have the dollars to hire a nurse.

I’m saying I knew personally several POWs
Great officers all - except one who was nucking futs but that Is another story
And were surprised they were contemptuous of McCain
But not surprised they didn’t want to talk about him
What went on in Hanoi stayed in Hanoi
Trump was good to call Juan on his self aggrandizing political career
When obama is criticized he yells race and when Juan is criticized he yells POW-HERO.....
Same same
Meanwhile Juan’s arrogance, neglect and downright meanness toward other vets and to the families of the POWs who never came home. .... and to conservatives and his own constituents....Stinks. No hindsight. Just fact.
Just to be clear, the Forrestal fire started when a Rocket on an F-4 Phantom launched while on Deck and it hit McCain’s A-4 Skyhawk.
McCain was sitting in the Jet at the time. He could have easily been killed himself.
Mr. Trump raised a question about Songbird’s POW time. That piece of excrement has made his ‘Hero” a central part of his elevation to Senator and Presidential candidate... What, it is no fair to determine the truth behind of this professed “Hero?” He is anything but.
Truth? Truth?!? What “truth” is he trying to determine about McCain’s time as a POW?
One other thing about McCain.
While he defended the United States by piloting a Plane, he seems to have an issue defending the United States by building a Fence.
Ah, a misfit, couldn't make the cut to be an Officer, or worse, afraid to step up to the plate. Now I understand your posts.
Study the man, my friend.
When McCain went down in Viet Nam supposedly his wing commander said thank God it was him as we don’t have that many planes left. He had already crashed 3 or 4 other jets. I guess the wing commander got in big trouble with the Admiral for it and I guess they hushed it up. McCain was a total screw up. He got shot down because he went off course and took a short cut on the flight back home.
When MCain came home I think they buried him as commander of the helicopter base in Pensacola till he mustered out.
Then McCain went to the Senate and got caught up in the Keating Five. Thirty plus years of betraying his own party time and again.
So Trumps remarks while probably uneccesary are not sacreligious.
As I said on another Thread, the Liberals who start howling about Trump picking on poor McCain are the same People that Voted for a Community Rabble Rouser instead of the War Hero.
Yes you are right.
Low IQ Perry playing the Establishment card of exploiting a situation for political gain.
Oh I dunno', what could the Truth be? That possibly Songbird's time in the Hanoi Hilton was not, how to put this, not completely honorable? That as Senator, he sealed all the testimony from his fellow POWs? Was that because those debriefing reports would have shown that he collaborated with the enemy? That if the DF* had kept his legs and arms in as he had been trained, they would not have been broken when he ejected? That POWs languish to this day because he determinedly stonewalled all attempts to find them?
Is that the Truth you are searching for?
* Dumb F
Well, you know what they say, a Broken Clock is right twice a day, unless it’s a Digital Clock. LOL
Liberals are glaring Hypocrites, pass it on.
Read what Trump said about McCain and those who get captured by the enemy! Maybe you’re just trying to waste my time as a Trumpet.
I read what Trump said.I merely asked you to quote what Trump said to back up your assertion. It would not have taken any longer than the above post, which means you can’t back up your assertion, and have to resort to name calling. I’m am not surprised.
That's pretty funny. What were you?
I was a
Oh, and if you were an officer, here ya go...
Because FRiend, if there were no enlisteds, you elitist, er, I mean officers, wouldn't get any of these crisp salutes (or anything else, for that matter), would you?
Trump owes me no apology. He’s saying things that just plain need to be said. RINO’s and dims are running scared and saying and doing any and everything they can to diminish him. Cruz is one of the few playing it smart. I see them both on the same ticket.
“Do you know about the problems he caused on the Forrestal? (sp), and why he was immediately transferred off that ship?”
McCain was doing a wet start which was a no no and he had been reprimanded for doing it before. He extra primed the engine and did an internal start. Flames shot out of his plane and attracted the Zuni and caused the explosion and fire. But that’s not the story that you get now.
Trump doesn’t owe me an apology.
Thank you for proving my point. We all have our place. You are in yours, and I honor you for it.
