“Never turn down rain in the summer” is a credo I’ve had for years, but it is being tested now.
I’ve never understood the “monsoon rain” thing in the southwest desert.

Hai - I do a lot of hiking and camping out. There’s like 200 square miles or more of heavily forested land behind where my folks live. Then I instruct flying and other stuff.

Oh Henk, “Monsoon” in the desert here doesn't necessarily mean rain but rather humidity.
Once in a while we get some really spectacular lightening storms & we get “haboobs” aka dust storms.
As we like to say here we have two seasons.....hot & not so hot. :)

I did indeed Sally Forth today - crashed through the Sally Port before 0530 - on the train at 0600 - opened the office at 0655.
