A few weeks ago, Google researchers announced that they had peered inside the mind of an artificial intelligence program.
What they discovered was a demonic hellscape. Youve seen the pictures.
These are hallucinations produced by a cluster of simulated neurons trained to identify objects in a picture. The researchers wanted to better understand how the neural network operates, so they asked it to use its imagination. To daydream a little.
At first, they gave the computer abstract images to interpret like a field of clouds. It was a Rorschach test. The artificial neurons saw what they wanted to see, which in this case were mutant animals dredged from the depths of damnation.

...it is impossible, at the moment, to understand how the trillions or quadrillions of connections in a human brain create consciousness. Yeah, just like it's impossible to understand how they stuff an entire symphony orchestra into a teeny-tiny radio.

I’d think this is human driven. They give it two images and tell it to morph.

what cannot be seen prayers you were asking a question ...
My thought ... everything at various points and nothing at various points. Depends on location and point location.

I’m pretty sure that I have dreams about hell. Everything is dark and gloomy and there are lots of mournful sounds with things writhing around in the darkness. I wish I could describe what I see in those dreams in words but I can’t. All I know is I’m glad to wake up from them.

Ever thought to pray to God for dreams about heaven?

The Left (and frankly some of us too) sees the Bushes as a wanna-be dynasty. What better way to depict that in graphic form than to put a crown on someone?
The computer would see Bush and morph him, but it wouldn’t morph him based on the dynasty perception. It wouldn’t grasp that dynamic.
Then you see Bush’s wife and Jindal. One is trashed as an insult and the other for his more Conservative beliefs.
This isn’t an accidental occurrence IMO.

I know you have a techie background, give “Our Final Invention” a read when you have the time. It’s a pretty quick read but will definitely curl your toe nails back at the prospects of unfettered AI. In a nutshell, AI coupled with nano-tech makes us nothing more than carbon building blocks for ever increasing material needs for AI to “break free” and inhabit the globe..

At the LEAST, they are also feeding it with their own idea of free association e.g. Bush=royalty, now go index those pictures and do your magic, software.
