WASHINGTON Republicans who started off viewing Donald Trump as an amusing sideshow are starting to fret that the real-estate billionaire is becoming the main event.
Since he defied skeptics and launched his presidential bid last month, Trump has rocketed in the polls, dominated media coverage and helped steer the debate on issues.
I dont know that he even knows how far he takes this, former New York GOP Rep. Thomas Reynolds, who is close to GOP candidate and ex-Gov. George Pataki, told The Post. He has the wherewithal . . . He has put together a pretty wholesale ground force in New Hampshire, and that has to be taken seriously.

Yeah I know Trump is brash. But he is a go getter. He is likely to actually do what he says. We just might see a beutiful and imposing wall 1989 miles long. The professional politicians give long winded speeches and seldom follow through. Where is the wall Mr Bush? You had republicans controlling everything for a while. And if the GOP elites are angry, that should make conservatives happy. If nothing else, this is turning out to be the most exciting primary season in memory.

The establishment is over the moon about this. They have figured out how to con the people who were resisting them.

Trump knows how to clean house. That’s what no Republican before him has been willing to do. Trump will. No more Mr. Nice Guy.

It was an easy tactic to lump the legal with the illegal border crossers. For one thing, one who is willing to break the law crossing the Mexican border, is willing to do other things to survive, like getting phony IDs, getting Social Security numbers from identity theft, selling illegal drugs, shop lifting and the list is endless. Once in the habit of breaking the laws, it can move into more dangerous areas like rape, prostitution and murder for hire.
I wonder if anyone has any hard data of what percentage of crime is committed by these illegal Mexican border crossers?

Rush spent much time on that subject (crimes by illegals) this morning. You may want to look at his website.

He has become a star in about the span of the last 8, 7 days.
If only he had gone after the gay marriagers before the SCOTUS decision, they might not have handed out that asinine verdict.
Oh well, he’s certainly saying the right things over immigration.
To: blackdog
Yes, give him as much attention as possible until he drops out. Trump is the best thing that’s happened to them.
To: entropy12
Trump accounted for a stunning 48 percent of all social-media and traditional-media conversation about politics over the last week, according to analytics group Zignal labs for The Washington Post. Trump had 1.9 million mentions, compared with just 448,000 for top Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.
