Jade Helm 15, the controversial Special Operations exercise that spawned a wave of conspiracy theories about a government takeover, will open next week without any media allowed to observe it, a military spokesman said.
Embedded reporters wont be permitted at any point during the exercise, in which military officials say that secretive Special Operations troops will maneuver through private and publicly owned land in several southern states. Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria, a spokesman for Army Special Operations Command, said his organization is considering allowing a small number of journalists to view selected portions of the exercise later this summer, but nothing is finalized.
All requests from the media for interviews and coverage of U.S. Army Special Operations Command personnel, organizations and events are assessed for feasibility and granted when and where possible, Lastoria said in a statement released Wednesday to The Washington Post. We are dedicated to communicating with the public, while balancing that against the application of operations security and other factors.
The exercise is scheduled for July 15 through September 15 and is expected to include more than 1,200 troops. Army Special Operations Command announced the exercise in March, saying its size and scope would set it apart from most training exercises. For months, some protesters have said Jade Helm is setting the stage for future martial law. Those fears have been mocked by comedians such as Jon Stewart and others, and the U.S. military has tried to reassure people about the exercise.
The Army says the size and scope of Jade Helm 15, a Special Operations exercise that begins in July, set it apart from other training exercises. Also setting it apart: The widespread conspiracy theories that the U.S. is preparing to hatch martial law.

I’d like to know which rancher let them use his property outside Bastrop. I can’t believe his neighbors weren’t all up his backside. Maybe he made some sort of deal with the devil after the fires - free house, free stock, free taxes and they’re paying him a pretty penny for the use of it during JH. Bet they leave behind their $$$$ surveillance just to catch neighbors later on.
“We prefer to know where they are and what they are doing. Thats it.”
Yeah and I’m sure they make keeping the Texas State Guard up to date their top priority lol.
Just wait until the Texas Navy joins the action.
You from Bastrop?
There were a couple of theads about the community on FR sometime back.
I can’t remember the name either.
I doubt that had any bearing on the Goliad/Victoria cancellation.
Did any landowners say “no?”
“You think our troops training to take out terrorist cells embedded in local communities is a joke?”

Do you really believe that is the true intent of Jade Helm?
If I look up naïve in the dictionary, will I see a picture of you?
BTTT
“You from Bastrop?”
Big Spring
Jon Stewarts’s atheistic Judiasm is relevant because it is a worldview that about 99% of all Americans do not share, and indeed is opposed to the tenets of freedom and personal liberty that are the hallmarks of American individualism.
Regular Americans are hated foreigners to him.
He sees himself as part of the elite who will rule over the goy masses. He has practically come out and said that over the years.
“Just wait until the Texas Navy joins the action.”
Hahaha Do they anchor in Midland? lol
The ultimate goal of Jade Helm is to train troops to control American citizens: Rounding them up, putting them in camps, isolating troublemakers, etc.
In this exercise, Americans are the enemy.
Are there still folks who do not see this?
As an aside: I am at the point where I have very little tolerance for the apathy of my fellow citizens. Now is the time to wake up and think deeply on our course as a Nation.
Too many acquaintances, mostly female, say that current events do not affect them personally so they are not concerned about the consequences (the homo ruling is a recent example).
I have a semi-friend who continually states that if things get bad in the US he will simply move to Costa Rica, where he has visited several times. I told him to grab his effing surfboard and get out - Quitters like him only get in the way of patriots like me.
“Yeah and Im sure they make keeping the Texas State Guard up to date their top priority lol.”
The Guard or Rangers (that’s up to Abbott; he can send one or both) will know where they are and what they’re doing. It appears you live in Texas so maybe you want them around your house. Most of us don’t.
“the most transparent administration ever.....”
Sorry, no.
In this exercise, Americans are the enemy.
Repeating in large font for emphasis.
Look at the facts here. Is there anything the Obama Regime has done that suggests he wants to slow down the influx of muzzies into America? Is there anything we can look at and say that Obastard does want to protect the integrity of ordinary Americans who simpy want to be left alone?
“nasty comments about stupid, ignorant, nutty Texans after an article before! I knew Texas had detractors but this was over the top.”
Liberals and the worst liberal Obama, hate Texas. We have, with Ted Cruz as Solicitor General, beaten Obama/Holder a number of times in the Supreme Court - they would like to dump Texas in the ocean. A pox on them and the new woman who heads the Justice Dept. now.
The law means nothing to this government, it is what it means when the government needs it changed. There are two sets of laws, one the citizen—us, the ones on the bottom of the crap pile and another ever changing set for the elite, government and privileged. Being a citizen now means you get crapped on, told it is your fault for whatever the latest cause celeb maybe and then you are handed the bill to pay if you still have any money left that the government let you keep.
Sadly US citizenship is now a curse in this country.
