A pastor in Cleveland County is taking a stand to put God first before his country. Pastor Rit Varriale and members of the Elizabeth Baptist Church decided to fly the Christian flag above the American flag outside the building in Shelby.

Where did he put the Rainbow flag?
The Communist are flying the Mexican flag over top of our National Flag in liberal socialist schools all across America!
What’s the problem?
Great job. More people should do this.
When I was in the Marines the saying was:
God, Country, Corps and comrades.
§7. Position and manner of display - The flag, when carried in a procession with another flag or flags, should be either on the marching right; that is, the flag's own right, or, if there is a line of other flags, in front of the center of that line.

(c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy.
So, if he was a Navy Chaplain performing services for Naval personnel it'd be perfectly legal.
Normally I would berate the pastor, but lately am not feeling so much “Hope” for what Old Glory represents.
Excellent!
The U.S. Flag Code provides that "No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy."
God is sovereign over all nations. We are only a nation because God allows us to be a nation.
Just remove the US flag from the pole. The church flag is appropriate and does not need the US flag to make a statement.
Liberals begin to freak out in 3, 2, 1......
good for that church
this is exactly what they should be doing
In the furnace, I hope. The symbolism would be awesome.
In the toilet hopefully!
Ah, Divine Services, remember them well.
Thanks for that. I would also state that in a nation where it’s legal to burn the flag, it’s a tough sell to say it’s a crime for a church to merely place the Christian flag on top.
