Arabs have a problem; it is called a religion, a phony religion based on a phony prophet. When the premise is wrong, everything else that follows is. They cannot get out of the conundrum until they denounce and forsake their false religion, but to do so leaves them with nothing. Young Arabs (Egyptians, Syrians, Jordanians, Saudis whatever) were brought up as Muslims.
Whatever accident of where they were born, they still identify as Muslims.
The regime where they live is just the regime. Why should they die for that, as opposed to merely giving way?
Not to mention, wherever they are, a significant part of the populations want ISIS to win.
I wouldn't quite put it that way.
I would say, "if that happens, ISIS is going to have to fight real soldiers for the first time".
