I know this information has been posted all over FR the last day or two but it doesn’t hurt to read again the sentiments of Andrew Young, a true civil rights stalwart, and what he thinks of the Confederate flag being displayed.

The PC fascist insanity taking over America in just the past week seems to have no bounds. The Supreme Court is trashing our heritage, the RINO traitor GOP establishment has joined the Dems in trashing our heritage, now our less than venerable institutions are joining in to trash the most basic heritage of our land and people. Ironically the Stars and Bars still fly freely and proudly among the Confederados down in Brazil (I posted on this a couple days ago: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3306659/posts ) Somehow the Brazilians have had the good sense to simply leave the Confederate descendants alone to celebrate their heritage and their resistance to government tyranny, whereas our leaders now embrace it.
If they’ve been taken down due to some being offended, then we can expect them to remove all those fag ‘pride’ flags... right?

These people are idiots.The flags at Sumter were a part of American history. I was amazed at the different versions that flew there. BTW,all were lower than the current American flag.

The beating nearly killed Sumner and was applauded by many Democrats who refused to oust Brooks from the House.

So what will they replace it with? An empty pole? Now that will raise a lot of questions from the young school kids visiting the site? When I visited there many moons ago the guide explained the significance of each flag.
Most southerners never thought of race at all when we beheld the Confederate flag, we felt pride in our distinct culture, which for us was not exclusive of southern blacks. It was perhaps exclusive of recently arrived northerners of any shade, unless they bought us a beer or something.
We adored Charley Pride for Pete’s sake.
Everyone opposed to the flag is assuming they can read minds, and if they truly could, there would be no flag flap.
Next thing you will hear, though it may take a few years, is that Fort Sumter is nixed.
