GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump filed a $500 million lawsuit against Univision after it terminated its contract to carry the Miss USA pageant, scheduled for July 12.
In a news release, Trump’s team announced:
Under the contract, Univision is required to broadcast the pageant live on television in Spanish. While Univision claims its decision came solely in response to comments by Mr. Trump during a June 16, 2015 campaign speech announcing his candidacy for President of the United States, the decision was, in reality, a politically motivated attempt to suppress Mr. Trump’s freedom of speech under the First Amendment as he begins to campaign for the nation’s presidency.
Before his company ended the contract, a Univision official reportedly apologized to Trump, saying he felt ashamed of what he called the company’s poor decision.
“Aside from this conversation, the only written notice received by Mr. Trump to date has been in the form of a press release Univision widely distributed to the media,” states Trump’s press release.
Nothing that I stated was different from what I have been saying for many years. I want strong borders, and I do not support or condone illegal immigration. There is a high level of crime occurring in this country due to unchecked illegal immigration. This is a major security issue for the United States. Additionally, the terrible trade deals our government is routinely entering into with Mexico are causing great financial harm to our country. We are losing a huge number of jobs, manufacturing opportunities and money due to poorly negotiated trade deals, a fact that undisputable. That won’t happen if I become president— this disturbing trend will end and it will end quickly.

$500 million should help nicely during the primaries.
If nominated, Trump can spend a Billion or 2 of his own money,
without needing a sugar daddy rich donor(s) telling him what to say and what to do.

He said last week that he would go after them in the courts and today the GOP Presidential candidate did just that. Today Donald Trump slammed Univision with an over $500 million lawsuit over the Spanish-language network ending their plans on June 25 to show the July 12 Miss USA pageant. Univision said that the severing of ties was because of remarks Trump made about “rapists” immigrants flooding into America. Filed in NY Supreme Court, today’s breach of contract and defamation complaint from Trump and the Miss Universe Organization bluntly demands “an order awarding damages in favor of Mr. Trump for defamation against Defendants, jointly and severally, in an amount to be determined at trial, but believed to be in excess of $500 million, together with interest.
This thing is blowing up in their face bigtime because a lot of people are saying they are boycotting NBC because of this. GOOD! About time liberals BS blew up in their face. People are sick of this crap you disagree with liberals you get branded a racist and are expected to apologize, but oh oh Trump don’t play that and NBC and Urine-vision are going to have a lot of problems as a result.
