Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the West, including the United States, for eschewing Christian values and opting instead for a “path to degradation.”
In his State of the Nation speech last month, Putin asserted that, “Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values… Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan.” Russia has adopted new laws that ban homosexual propaganda and criminalizes the insulting of religious sensibilities.
The law on religious sensibilities was approved in the wake of a protest in Moscow’s largest cathedral by a female punk rock group, Pussy Riot. State-run television said the group’s “demonic” protest was funded by “some Americans.” Russia’s newfound embrace of traditional values has prompted a rise in Orthodox vigilantism. Extreme groups such as the Union of Orthodox Banner Bearers, an ultraconservative faction who adopted a slogan “Orthodoxy or Death,” are gaining prominence.
It was not that long ago that the United States was accusing Russia for being a “godless nation.” On March 8, 1983, Ronald Reagan said this about Russia to an audience of evangelicals:

Some are obviously pretty naive, falling for this obvious pro-Putin propaganda. Not their fault, necessarily, if they are too young to know about KGB tactics, or they just recently got into politics. Remember, a significant-enough portion of the population doesn’t even know who the VP of the United States is, or where Iran is on the map.
Folks here are generally a little better than that though I’m thinking.

In the East there is someone that causes the western liberal's maniacal laughter to stop. Vladimir Putin. He has real world power, which causes the liberal media to fearfully ignore or warp his image. Like a good Christian King he leads a nation to Christ. Deep down in their evil souls they shriek like devils because they know Christ is true God and true power that they cannot defeat. They thought the Bolshevik revolution destroyed Holy Mother Russia. Christ cannot be defeated and his servant Putin has welcomed Christ and His church.

The anti-Christian Obama has allied himself with Al-Qaeda rebels in Syria where 2 Bishops are still held captive, priests and other Christians are martyred. This is the "Hope and Change" he promised. Those who voted for Obama are held responsible as though they pulled the trigger or swung the blade to decapitate. It will go worse for those who are Christian leaders who ignore the martyrs of the East. Why are they not at the White House everyday protesting to spare the Christians and stop the violence?

The guy is wrong, but the words are right.
If you want a country to emulate, it is Putin’s arch-enemy, Poland.

The truthfulness of a statement does not depend upon who utters it. Putin is not making a statement that depends upon his personal credibility. He is describing the West and I agree with his description.
I do see that, which should have been indicated in the part that said, “If this were a movie, nobody would believe it.”
He’s RIGHT. He knows it.
It doesn’t matter that he doesn’t subscribe to Christianity or Christian values.
All that matters is context. He’s RIGHT.
By dint of the fact he’s the dictator of Russia, when he says these things, the press is going to pick it up. People are going to evaluate the statement on the merits, not on who delivered them.
That Putin doesn’t buy into Christian values either IS THE ENTIRE POINT.
Jesus might as well be a cartoon character, and henceforth cannot be used in any side of what’s about to happen between Russia and the West.
Do you get that? Like Obama, Putin isn’t going to apologize for accomplishing what he set out to do in the first place.
To men like that evil is relative. Evil is embodied in those that oppose their agenda.
