SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Gun shop workers say incidents like Friday night's botched break-in have more people headed to area gun stores.
"Seems to be a steady increase year after year, we're seeing more of it as the business grows," Mike Kelley said. Kelley, the owner of Kelley's Police and Tactical Supply, said break-ins bring more people into his store.
"A lot of people come in wanting to know what to do to protect themselves better and in different situations," Kelley said. "There's just more violence and it's even in Springfield, Missouri."

Everyone should go buy (another) gun in the next few weeks. You can never have too many.

The national statistics say that crime is dropping, but perception of crime is rising.
I think that a lot of crime that was not reported in the news is now being reported in the new media.

Picked up an FNX45 Tactical up the day after the horrible shooting, as I knew the kneejerk libs would go down this road again.

I'm wondering if there isn't something more afoot. I suspect there are a lot of people waking up to the inevitability of civil war, and are arming for the fight.
Or maybe I'm just projecting ...

Gun sales on the rise as more homeowners look to get armed
I slowed down about a year ago since they all seemed to end up at the bottom of the nearby lake, but I think I'll give it another try. I'm in the market for a 30.06, just not sure just yet of make and model.

I got a pretty good deal on PMAGs at Brownell's - should be delivered on Wednesday. Ten of those should hold the 300 rounds of green tip I got last week.
But I certainly would never buy a gun. The very thought makes me tremble.

For the first time I got serious about learning more about my little 380 pocket Ruger. Fired off 200 rounds...my hand is sore but I became less jumpy as I pulled the trigger. The sights on that gun are super small but I was getting better in the end. Shot at horse apples, grapefruits and milk cartons. Waiting on gun dealer to price me a KRISS VECTOR 45 pistol.

More crime in Missouri? Gee, after Ferguson, I thought that crime would fall.
My bad!

I'm wondering if there isn't something more afoot. I suspect there are a lot of people waking up to the inevitability of civil war, and are arming for the fight. That was the first thing I thought of. The Obungler, and these stupid Supreme Court decisions, have been great for gun sales.
