... [Ann Coulter] was riding high, perhaps the most famous polemicist of her day, the scourge of liberals everywhere and the fantasy of young conservative men's dreams. And then suddenly, she was nowhere. After having been relegated to a "debate" with her friend Mickey Kaus the year before, she was excluded from CPAC in 2015 where she'd been featured for 17 years. It seems that conservative organizations have been trying to have her dropped for a while but friends in high places had intervened. But the planners had had enough. She was very bitter about it, telling the Washington Examiner, "I might just show up anyway just to piss them off. I could be the Bibi Netanyahu of CPAC." ...
She seems to think she's being ignored because of her strong opposition to immigration. Her latest screed is called "Adios America: The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole," and it is predictably horrifying. She appears to have lifted many of her ideas from white nationalists and anti-immigrant extremists and has moved from being a right wing polemicist to openly proselytizing for white supremacy ...

As I recall she got dumped here at FR for supporting Romney or McStain.
not to mention that this liberal hag has no real idea how conservatives think anyway......
she’s dating jeb?
Ann Coulter has lost audience because she’s a relentless attention whore.
She was/is infatuated with Chris Christie.
She’s being shunned and ignored because she is an incredible ass hat, who turned on the rest of for being as smart as she, when she insisted we must elect Christy or Mitt.
Come out of the closet Anne...
There’s someone at Salon who knows what grace is, or are they just blaspheming again?
We assimilate the ones already here.
Sounds right for Amnesty Ann.
Mitt Coulter. Ill gladly fix immigration tuesday for amnesty today.
Her book is the truth. That is why she is being shunned. Just like that Casino guy with the wacky hair.
Oh hell no. I do not find her attractive in the least.
Well, Salon is about the last place to know why Ann Coulter has lost it with conservatives.
In the first place, CPAC is not really conservative. They are Chamber of Commerce on immigration, and they have a long record of inviting gays to meetings—formerly called Log Cabin Republicans.
Ann Coulter lost it with most real conservatives when she backed Mitt Romney and Chris Christie, and undermined Sarah Palin and other conservative candidates. Too bad, because she continues to write very well when she’s in the mood, and she was a long-time friend of FR. But in this game, you can’t play the middle, unless you are part of the corrupt establishment.
I don’t like Ann Coulter anymore either. She is obsessed with Romney. I just cannot respect that. She is an advisor to a homo group. I cannot respect that. I really do not think she stands for anything other than making money for herself. Nothing wrong with making money, but it should not trump everything else.
A tiny irritant: I paid extra money for an autographed copy of one of her books and all I got was an ugly scribble. I don’t remember how much extra I paid, but it was at least $5 or so. How long does it take to write a decent signature? Three seconds tops? Instead I got a 1/2 second almost illegible scribble. Small but memorable offense.
She is STILL supporting Romney. I think she is in love with him. I was not here on FR during that period. I took a break from it. So I only heard about it. I did not really think much about it since it was passed. But I heard her on the radio just last week going on about Romney being the greatest thing since Reagan. She is in love. She is extreme in her pro-Romney position. It is MOST irritating.
Salon is writen by gay men for the most part. Ann has a boys body. Lankey and thin.
There ya go.
Spot on.
Salon, your source here, is a proponent of liberal idiocy.
“...this liberal hag...”
Who is liberal here?
You paid for a scribble by an assistant who scribbled so that you wouldn't know Ann didn't sign it.
I expect Ann would say something about not being invited to CPAC and other “conservative” venues along the lines of Groucho’s quip, “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member”.
