If you attended church, synagouge, temple, mosque etc. did your pastor say anything about recent USSC rulings?
Assuming your pastor took the Biblical position and stand, perhaps the church body and the church's efforts are better off without those nine.
And perhaps we will no see more purging of the churches, separating the Bible-believers and the genuine Christians from the false professors and mere religionists.
good luck. If Pastors don’t have the courage to mention their own religion and marriage then I have no respect for them at all.
We keep losing because people stay silent on these issues and nothing will change until we see men and women grow a spine and stand up
I had a similar experience and it wasn’t until I was older and more well read in the Biblical texts and commentaries that I realized the difference between discerning and judging. It is not my job to “judge”; God handles that. I don’t get to choose who goes to heaven or hell. It is my job as a Christian, though, to “discern” sin vis a vis the Bible and our church’s doctrine, avoid it, and encourage the repentance of those who are sinning, and to allow the same for myself.
I agree that with free will, we must discern, but we should leave the judging of a person’s soul to God.
Agree, Churches have been infested with too many liberals who want to change the church and the congregations views.
One woman told me on here a few years ago that she had no opposition to the homosexual marriage , because a nice young man joined the church and was wanting to marry “ Yes another homosexual.
It’s people like that woman who are weak minded what are the problem.
Wow! Pastor Lawson is rockin it! Thx for the link.
That sounds like fun! Extend it for a whole week!
BTW...there were an estimated 800,000 bikers at RT this year!
Yeah...That was some GOOD Preaching!
The Church in the US as a whole has been "asleep in the light" for too long. This ruling (and subsequent legal shenanigans) may be the wake-up call needed...
I missed yesterday because I was sick. Calling a friend later to see what he said.
Good point.
We did not get any PC mumbo jumbo.
We got the Word of God.
Thank God for my pastor.
I stumbled across his ‘hellfire’ sermon from 2008 on YouTube a couple of years back. I have listened to his Sunday sermons ‘live’ on the internet ever since. (I thought the congregation was going to break out into a standing ovation at one point...not appropriate for church, but a clear indicator of how he was connecting with the folks in the pews.)
I am not a church-goer, or very religious, so you can take this with a pillar of salt if you want, but no person should feel infuriated with the message the receive at their church. I honestly believe that you should write to, or call on your pastor and ask for his direct assessment on this issue. You should not feel that you are out of line in seeking out such a simple answer to such a simple question.
If what you are told leaves you feeling unsettled, or if you are still furious, please, leave that church while you are still free to do so.
I am not sure if others are saying this to you, or if they are directing you towards a new church already, but the best you may do is communicate with your pastor, ask the questions you need to have answered, and if it leaves you feeling enraged that your church has been invaded by sodomites, just walk away...
...and DON'T LOOK BACK.

What an excellent question to post. I wish I hadn’t played hooky.
Can you post the links for the Live stream and youtube sermon?
Thank you.
He and his wife also sought out A.M.E. churches in the area to assure them we are in union with their grieving for the evil that was done in Charleston.
Loose offerings were designated to donate to an A.M.E. church that shares the same name as our Episcopal Church.
Ushers told me it was the largest amount of loose offerings they had ever seen.
Church elders will meet this week to rewrite the Church's bylaws
Then said we will take and see approach
My pastor also added something else we already knew, that the Christian consensus that used to exist in this country has been gone for several decades, and that all of the Christians that are aching for a return to the church as it was in the New Testament have gotten their wish, as the church had no influence then either. However, there is a positive note, that the church grew more spiritually during those times of oppression and persecution.
My pastor wanted a show hands of who would visit him in prison when the persecution begins. The message was on our Christian foundation as a nation, starting with the Mayflower Compact, preaching on II Chronicles 7:14 and that revival starts with the Christians, not the lost. Our musical was “Heal our Land” based on this Scriptude and if you want to see a few minutes of it, FreepMail me and I’ll send a link. Pray for our Vacation Bible School that starts tonight. We usually have 100 to 150 kids get saved every year and we know time is short to reach the lost.
