Here are some illustrative headlines from recent news accounts: “Welcome to Italy: this is what a real immigration crisis looks like,” declares the British Spectator magazine, which adds that Italy is being “invaded.” And here’s another scary story: “How the migration crisis is shaking Europe at its core.” After all, it’s only 100 miles or so from Tunisia, in Africa, to the Italian island of Sicily—an easy trip in almost any kind of vessel. And so if, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, have a look and decide for yourself.

When I looked up Tunisia on the map yesterday I was a little surprised at how close it is to Europe.

I don’t understand how it happened, but I wonder why modern Euros and others in the West (as some in the U.S. do) want to slit their own throats? It is very curious to me, and I wonder why it transpired. Was it the two World Wars? Europeans and people of European descent weren’t always suicidal.

I travelled to Rome a few months ago. The average Italians amongst us were very concerned about the unfettered immigration. It seems we are not the only people who are burdened with governments that simply will not listen, or are paralyzed by lack of political will and courage.

I've been following this pretty closely....to say it's an “invasion” is correct...and one that Italy is indeed stuck with since just this week 12 or so European nations are refusing to take in these refuges and the Italian President is throwing a fit....even though it's to be a “volunteer” agreement that they do so. At least 90% of these 'asylum seekers' are young, able-bodied men in their late teens or early 20s wearing the latest designer sportswear.

Additionally... if they were genuinely in fear of their lives and fleeing real persecution, wouldn't’t they have brought their female relatives with them? That's not happening.....Compounding the situation is the additional 20,000 refugees from Syria and Iraq coming in.

Accepting large numbers of "refugee" populations invariably lead to horrific crimes 'against the existing population'...not to mention the crimes and fights happening between Sunni's and Shia's even in the refugee camps that's happening currently.

Truckers have to continually battle the groups attempting to hitch rides into various European communities....they have no understanding of borders nor do they remain where they come in...rather they cut loose and go where ever they desire to go.

Remember that even the United States got a president for life, a radical. Post war, the left ran rampant politically, and in the 1960s all or most Western nations changed immigration, to what we see today.

They come across because of laws established if they make it to the shores they will have automatic asylum. Be provided with shelter, and food etc.

As for the violence...it is their nature for those coming in are predominately Muslim....being from African culture should be obvious why their behavior is such....they come from "Tribes" who settle their differences through violence.

Australia does not allow asylum seekers or refugees onto its shores, instead they detain them on a couple Islands in Papua New Guinea. Then they are resettled in Cambodia....as for those who come in boat loads they are towed back or turn the boats around, any asylum seeker who arrives in Australia by boat will have no chance of being settled in Australia .

But that's not without costs...last year Cambodia agreed to take in refugees rejected by Australia in return for $40 million in aid.
