Thank heaven.
.
One down, one to go.
Great news for the state worker who assisted in the escape.
Of course there is one more outstanding. Hopefully he won’t cornered and be able to take an entire family hostage in a last ditch hostage style event.
Finally.
Looking at map, Lake Titus is S of Malone off Rt 30
.....and Berretta...............
I heard he got a gun in the cabin they broke into.
I have no idea if that’s a fact.
.
The other one can die too, he emptied a gun into a cop in cold blood.
A monster - but a talented one.
Who in hell leaves a firearm in a remote cabin?..............not smart at all...................
Matt’s family can live in peace now. He had a brother who testified against him who feared for his life.
As was the escape of murderer Robert Garrow from Fishkill. When he was initially captured in the Adirondacks, he had been shot by a Conservation Police Officer. He claimed paralysis, although doctors didn't believe him. Garrow repeatedly asked to be transferred to the hospital unit at Fishkill, which was a medium-security facility. He sued the State for his paralysis, but when the State offered him the transfer to Fishkill, he dropped the suit. He escaped from Fishkill in '78, his son having brought in a pistol piece-by-piece in buckets of KFC on visits. At least that's the way the story was told to me. I was an officer at Auburn in the early 80's, and the son was doing time for the crime there. Garrow was shot and killed not far from the Fishkill facility.
Another escapee from NY State prison custody was Winston Moseley. He killed Kitty Genovese. He was at Auburn too when I worked there. So was Ronnie DeFeo (Amityville murders) and Buddy Jacobson, horse trainer/murderer. I could never say I had a boring job.
Yeah, and for that he was given a sentence of 25 to life by the State of New York.
I had read back in the beginning that the cabin was owned by a ‘group’ of the prison guards at Clinton. It may have been planted there by the guard that helped them escape...................
Yeah. That has been the biggest concern here all along. These two (and especially the dead guy) were nasty, nasty criminals. Worst of the worst type guys. I'm actually a bit surprised (very, very pleasantly so, to say the least) that the dead guy was killed without taking anyone else out with him.
Were you at Auburn when they put (preppy killer) Robert Chambers in there?
