What a mess the Roberts appointment has turned out to be.

"Yep, there goes the rule of law."
We have reached the stage where the law means whatever the powerful say the law is whenever they say it. The SC is just the window dressing on the acts of a tyrannical government and the total empowerment of the IRS to do whatever it wishes.

Hmmm....saving the best for last....I can just see it now...dancing in the streets as same sex marriages are OK via the USSC. A sad day that will be.

Given that SCOTUS and Congress made THEMSELVES EXEMPT,
there also goes the Maxim and 'foundation' below:
"At the foundation of our civil liberties lies
the principle that denies to government officials
an exceptional position before the law and which
subjects them to the same rules of conduct
that are commands to the citizen."
Justice Louis D. Brandeis

SCOTUS and their Staff are EXEMPT under ObamaCARE. No, they're not.

We have reached the stage where the law means whatever the powerful say the law is whenever they say it. The SC is just the window dressing on the acts of a tyrannical government and the total empowerment of the IRS to do whatever it wishes. Some day Americans will wake up and wonder what the hell happened.
Sometimes people don't wake up until they're hit in the head by a 2x4.

Yes. We had no idea what she believed at the time. We knew Roberts to be a solid judicial conservative. There’s really no way to predict a man will turn his back on his core philosophical beliefs.

Well, don't be silly. Prohibition was not just a law, it was an AMENDMENT and was removed after a decade of dissatisfaction.
So, no, a law can be repealed and rewritten much more easily.
That does not mean the GOP has the gonads to do it. What this essentially did was take the Republican elites off the hot seat so now they can pretend to campaign against Obamacare while supporting it legislatively on the grounds that "it's the law."

In the Decision, the EXEMPT Majority lie about what is written
and state that their alliance with Obama
and their core beliefs make them sociopathically deny
what is in front of their EXEMPT eyes:
"
In this instance, the context and structure
of the Act compel us to depart from what would otherwise
be the most natural reading of the pertinent statutory phrase."
"At the foundation of our civil liberties lies
the principle that denies to government officials
an exceptional position before the law and which
subjects them to the same rules of conduct
that are commands to the citizen."

On FoxNews, Judge Napolitano says basically that Roberts pretzeled another decision to save Obamacare.
