First, the Confederate flag was banned, now, how about films that show images of it?
Its been a busy week for political correctness, where anyone with a complaint against anything is taking advantage of shifting winds and pushing for an outright ban.
This afternoon, New York Post film critic Lou Lumenick added his target to the list, Gone with the Wind, labeling it insidious. He believes it should be relegated to museums as opposed to continued regular showings elsewhere.

Anyone know where I can get a copy of Song of the South.
Insanity. Screw them. Mitchell was a relative of ours.
They have their opening and they’re running through it......
I bet NY Times goes first.
I’ve been angry all day, and I needed that laugh, LOL.
I once saw a war propaganda cartoon, with Bugs Bunny imitating a Japanese fighter pilot. Doubt I’ll ever see that one on tv again....but here it is:

I read the article yesterday. The author used the words “I hate...” about two dozen times and then accused Republicans of racism.
Insanity. Screw them. Mitchell was a relative of ours.
Yes. Ban every history book that mentions that the Democrat party is the party of slavery, segregation, infanticide, the Ku Klux Klan.
Let the talking heads of media and the wankers of the Huffington Post and Yahoo! become the new arbiters of truth!!
Frankly...
How about censoring, or even banning, “The Golden Girls” because of the character Blanche Devereaux who was a dyed in the wool Southerner? I recall even a few references to “Gone With the Wind” made in that show and this does not even begin to mention that Rue McClanahan (RIP) was very much a Hollywood liberal, along with Bea Arthur and Betty White.
I can just see any TV program or movie involving the South (Mama’s Family, In the Heat of the Night) being scrutinized like it was made in the same vein as “The Birth of a Nation”.
History, itself?? Lie.
Boy that tick off Turner classic movies fans on their message board
He just declared war on movie buffs
I just remembered, Woodrow Wilson and other Democrats were big fans of “The Birth of a Nation” back in it’s day playing in the movie theatres.
I wonder if this number between Dinah Shore and Mahalia Jackson (circa 1959-60) has too many Southern bigot connotations:

I guess they wouldn’t like some of the stuff I’ve kept for great grandchildren like an original Aunt Jemimah syrup bottle and a copy of the original Little Black Sambo.
I have said this for months.
We should BAN ANYONE who attempts or wants to BAN ANYTHING.
Now they want to burn movies and books as well as flags
TALIBAN-STYLE
Just when you think the left wing couldn’t get any sicker than they are, they dip to a new low.
Notice this is coming from the north. It’s as if they’re still fighting the Civil War. That, or still making the south pay for it. Either way, it makes me sick this is happening. When and where will this insanity end?
