It was the first service since the horrific slaughter of nine innocent souls by a racist fanatic.
Not being a Christian, I can only marvel at the dignity and courage of the victims’ relatives who forgave the shooter. If I could ever manage such a thing, it would probably take me decades. It took them little more than a day.
Less shocking, but almost as uplifting, was the conduct of the broader Charleston community, which has been unified and dignified, despite the expectations of some in the media — and the accused gunman, who’d singled out Charleston because of its success at racial integration.
And this points to Goff being right, not just about Charleston but about the South in general.
There are few subjects that ignite more casual, uninformed bigotry and condescension from elites in this nation than Dixie.

Although it’s being deployed in several states like Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and others, there are still many who have never heard of the Colorado Model. What’s worse, despite all the Left’s bemoaning of the “vast right wing conspiracy,” Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or whatever enemy they can dream up, there is still nothing like the Colorado Model on the Right.
In sum, the Colorado Model is one of the Left’s most effective stratagems that was “built” to turn “red states” into “blue states” in a very short period (with the exception, perhaps, of the 2010 election cycle). When combined with the tactics of Saul Alinsky and his disciples, the Colorado Model is akin to a Soviet platoon armed with AK-47s mowing down a militia armed with slingshots.

Northern Liberals and most especially those from large cities are the most racist people on the planet. They use blacks to get what they want. They don’t give a damn about them.
Without hearing the tone, one can’t say whether it’s simply making conversation or intended to be critical ... although any statement starting with “You people ...” has to be suspect.
The worst thing about being a Southerner is having to tolerate other born and bred Southerners who feel superior to their neighbors because they think they are intellectuals. Liberal Southerners are a blight as bad as Northerners who move here.

Problem though is they bring their liberal mindset as well.
Respectfully and unfortunately I'd add our country to that list worse leaders ever. I haven't kept count but we're close to the worse. Our country has murdered 57 million babies by beheading, torture, dismemberment, being burned alive......the left say it's a “right” to do this and as sad as it is to say, some on the right agree or don't care or don't want to think about it. Thank God there are millions of conservatives who continue to fight against this great sin in our country. God will eventually judge us for this and I have to continue to ask myself if I have done enough.
